When there's something strange in the neighbourhood Who Ya Gonna Call?

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is to Ghostbusters: The Videogame is kinda like what Ghostbusters 2 was to Ghostbusters.

Imagine your Atari, you had just release Ghostbusters: The Videogame and it was successful, so what do you do? The Answer: you release a twin stick shooter as a somewhat sorta sequel to it called Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime.

The problem with that is it's a complete letdown, first of all the characters are all different, they're not even the Extreme Ghostbusters of the 90s. Second like I mentioned above it's a Twin Stick shooter, they don't work that well with Keyboard and Mouse, so you must play it with a controller. Third, there no online co-op so if you don't have a friend or four additional controllers your left playing the game with the A.I. companions, who would rather revive you than shoot the boss with 1% health left.

The game feels more like a cash-in for another Ghostbusters game because the 2009 one was so successful, like Ghostbusters 2 it lacks the magic and charm of it's predecessor. I only mildly recommend this to those who are obsessed with all things Ghostbusters (like myself)

Also for the the longest time this was the only Ghostbusters game on Steam, thank goodness the 2009 on made it back, so get that one instead.

PS. Happy 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters
