Not the first NGU that I played, but by far from what I have played so far, the one that I am personally enjoying the game, it does get kinda addicting and there are so many things to do.. still at the early stages of the game, but I can't say that I'm not addicted :D

Apart from the rage moments every now and again, its a decent game

I can recommend buying it, i played countless hours of the Mod and was just fascinated by the game, i am glad that it is now a own game and i just can recommend it. It is currently in the Pre-Alpha, so beware of bugs in the finished game i am sure they wont be that many bugs, there is a ton of stuff that will be added into the game. So if you want to be part of the game, and see for your own how the game is evolving aswell as developing then try it for yourself!

I personally had rather high expectations for the game because I really liked Metro 2033, at first I was afraid that the game is going to be completly ruined storywise since a different Company was working on it. In the end I enjoyed this game but sadly, I never felt like playing it again nor did I really enjoy the DLCs. Some of them would have been a nice addition in the first playthrough but not more for me atleast, I still dislike the fact that you need a DLC to play the game, how it was meant to be played and that is on Ranger mode. If you are not playing on Ranger mode you all ways have enough ammunition aswell as the currency in the game which are the old rounds. I still do recommend this game, and by the date I think if you get the chance buy the Redux version from this game and perhaps Metro 2033, but if you want to have more of a nostalgic feeling go for the original ones.
