Okay first of all i never played any of Romancing Saga games. This is my first and i jumped into it without knowing anything and boy...i got hooked up instantly. I played day and night, this is one of the best jrpg experiences i had since Octopath Traveler II. It's true the story is not something original, but there are some good moments and ideas, but the overall world, combat system, music and enjoyment of just playing this game is AMAZING.

You can feel classic charm in this game that retro jrpg's had, no long cutscenes, no 2 hours movies, just clean and pure gameplay (and amazing one!). The character progression system is really addictive, but i won't go into more details to not spoil the fun.

TL;DR

This is one hidden gem that not everyone might want to try because of "2" in the title, but this game is like Final Fantasy series, You can jump without any knowledge and have MASSIVE fun. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and must play for jrpg fans.

Mała gierka bo na 2-4h, ale JAKI KALIBER. Wszedłem w to w ciemno nie wiedząc na czym polega gameplay ani o czym jest, nie używałem również żadnych poradników i to właśnie GORĄCO zalecam, po prostu odpalić.

Niesamowity experience, ktoś odwalił kawał dobrej roboty, nie tylko za pomysł ale, wykonanie i poważną tematyke.

Serdecznie polecam, zwłaszcza jak komus siedzą kryminalne/dramy Koreańskie filmy i seriale.

Excellent game. Obviously this is Early Access so there will be bugs and some things might not work as intended, but overall the QUALITY of EA is huge. More content and it plays better than most of games that recently got out of early access.

Quick summary:
- Game is not too hard and not too easy
- Excellent art design
- Gameplay and skills feel soooo good, sounds of crushing bones, projectiles shooting and hitting enemies
- Loot is pretty rare so You do not get overwhelmed with 1000 items on screen after each mob pack defeated
- Vendors are useful

One thing i dislike is that bosses should give better loot, but that might be addressed in next patch.

Overall excellent game, worth playing either now or waiting for F2P. Highly recommended.

Świetna gra, BARDZO dobrze nawiązuje do klasycznych filmów, dobrze odwzorowane lokacje, postacie a fabuła sama w sobie idealnie kontynuuje wątki z Robocop 1 i Robocop 2. Warto jednak kupić tylko na dobrej promocji bo cena wyjściowa zdecydowanie za wysoka na to co gra oferuje.

Amazing game. I was not too fond of Octopath Traveler I but OC II blew me away. This is easily 10/10 for me, great combat system, great world, great characters, great JP voice acting and AMAZING EPIC soundtrack. I have no idea what Yasunori Nishiki did to compose such masterpiece but music in this game is one of the best ever created.

Must play.

Great game, very similar to Obra Dinn but without walking or exploring, just pure detective puzzles that slowly piece by piece make up a whole story. Really recommended!

Sceptycznie ostatnio patrze na te wszystkie jrpgi nasladujace stara szkole, o kolejny 2d jrpg „jak dawniej”.Ależ sie w tym przypadku pomylilem bo to nie jest tylko „kolejny” jrpg, to jest wspaniały tytuł, który od samego poczatku do konca złapał mnie i uzależnił. Każdy dzień to było oczekiwanie aż złapie steam decka do łapy i bede kontynuował swoja przygode.

Gierka mocno nawiązuje do starych dobrych klasyków jak Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, do tego mamy tutaj dużo podobieństw do FF12 a im dalej w las nawet elementy z Suikodena 2 jak rekrutacja dodatkowych postaci nie tylko do walki, ale też rozbudowanie swojej bazy. Chained Echoes stara sie upodobnić do staroszkolnych jrpg ze złotej ery, przy czym wprowadza również współczesne rozwiązania w systemie, pozbywa sie niepotrzebnego grindu i losowych walk. Sam systemi jest ciekawy, mimo ze turowe walki to wprowadza kilka fajnych rozwiązań dzięki czemu nie są one nudne a wręcz sprawiają frajde, pod koniec gry sam szukalem potyczek bo po prostu sprawiaja one przyjemnosc. W przypadku tej gry jeśli sie zatniemy na bossie to jest to raczej kwestia doboru odpowiedniej strategii i ekwipunku niż zabijaniu szczurów przez godzine zeby podbic level.

Na plus zasługuje też design miast, map i cała otoczka graficzna, wygląda to wszystko pięknie a do tego włożono też dużo pracy w eksponowanie lore i budowanie świata. Dodajmy do tego ciekawe postacie, fabułę co prawda „cliche” i typowe ratowanie świata, ale jest ona poprowadzona zgrabnie, pacing jest świetny, ciągle coś sie dzieje, nie brakuje twistów i trzyma sie to kupy.

Nie moge przejśc tez obojętnie obok muzyki, o której mogłbym pisać i pisać. Jest to bardzo ważny element, który wyróżnia sie najbardziej. Ścieżka dzwiekowa jest FENOMENALNA. Każda lokacja ma swój unikalny styl, battle themes sa dynamiczne i powodują gęsią skórke. Muzyka wprowadza tą gre na całkowicie inny poziom i była inspirowana najlepszymi z najlepszych. Słychać tu Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu czy Yasunori Mitsuda a jednocześnie zachowuje swój własny oryginalny styl. W przypadku Chained Echoes - Eddie Marianukroh, który stworzył te cudowne utwory może być z siebie dumny bo jakościowo są nie odstają one od legend, na których sie inspirował.

Gra ma też minusy (jak chyba każda), jak dośc proste dialogi, niektóre postacie dostały ewidentnie za mało czasu w grze i nie rozwinięto ich historii tak jakbym sie spodziewał, a końcówka wydaje sie niestety zrushowana.

Gorąco polecam, dla mnie jedna z lepszych gier w jakie grałem, czuć ze włożono w nią wiele miłosci i starań, Gdybym tylko mial ja w pudełku nie byłoby żadnego wstydu postawić ja obok takich gigantów jak Persona 5, Xeno 2 itp.

Amazing game, with HUGE world, HUGE monsters, HUGE weapons and HUGE balls. 10/10 masterpiece.

Masterpiece, instead of writing what the game is about one should just play it, without any guide's, hints or using internet. Amazing journey.

Amazing game from the father of games like 999, Zero Escape, Ever17, Punch Line and more. The full playthrough will last somewhere between 25-35 hours (my playtime has been overestimated because of leaving the game idle few times). Just finished the game and wow…WHAT A RIDE.
If You are a fan of good mystery stories, You can jump in blind into this one, just make sure to change voices to JP in the settings, trust me, You will thank me later.

Story:
AI: The Somnium Files takes a lot from games like Danganronpa, Zero Escape- multiple routes in the story, emphasis on mystery and plot twists and disturbing atmosphere . The game tries to be serious, but at times it turns into a small comedy with sexual humour. Personally I did not mind it, but please have in mind that there are some “superpowers” present and some situations are presented with a dose of humour. Regardless the story is very polished and serious. It is written and presented in an excellent way with multiple routes. Whenever You think You got grasp of the situation and guessed what is happening, there will be more mind bending things revealed that will throw You off and make You ask the question “What the hell is happening here?!”.
If You were wondering, the multiple routes are done in proper way with Flowchart. Meaning, there is no need to make multiple saves or track what You did, game will do that for You and it is easy to access previous parts and jump between them.

Gameplay:
Most of the gameplay is a visual novel with object interactions like in Danganronpa or Phoenix Wright. You will mostly talk with people and move from point A to B on the map. There are also some quick time events during “action” parts of the game.
The other part of the gameplay will be moving around locations and solving puzzles by interacting with items, and boy some of these are crazy and make You realize how nicely everything is done.
Overall gameplay is similar to games like Danganronpa or Ace Attorney – Visual Novel with some unique gameplay elements.

Summary:
This is a game with excellent story that was really well written with great OST. Every piece of information is vital and there is some kind of twists behind every corner. The mystery aspect is done really well and often I would scratch my head what is happening and why. To be honest I am blown away by the final resolution of the story and I really recommend this game to anyone, especially people who loved Danganronpa, Zero Escape or Ace Attorney, You gonna fall in love with this one.
