Played on both the Steam Deck and my desktop, and it was a wonderful experience.
It's definitely not for everyone though, it's a slower-paced game that rewards patience, immersion, and appreciation for its world, story, and themes. If you're a completionist, the variety of deliveries, difficulty-based badges, and unique constraints make for engaging and replayable challenges.

One aspect I enjoy is how the world and gameplay evolve based on your actions. As you develop the infrastructure (building roads, zipline networks, etc) you'll see tangible changes that impact both your experience and that of other players. You'll have a genuine appreciation for that random generator someone built in the middle of nowhere when you need it the most.

Baldur's Gate 3 is easily a game, which I could write paragraphs for. Really, the writing is beyond phenomenal, the game-play is inventive and beyond open, with choices and role-play meaning something.

This is my personal 2023 game of the year, and I have no doubt it'll be for everyone else.

I can't recommend this game due to the fact the developer has gone off the deep-end, and needs mental help (Look at the recent Events and Announcements)

I originally reviewed this game positive last year when it came out, it was a enjoyable single player experience. But with the further monetization added in the recent update, its a disgusting tbh.
