The movement options this game gives you lets you get away with some really stupid ♥♥♥♥

Look, I'm all for the message of "♥♥♥♥ terfs and the horses they rode in on" but there's so, so much wrong with the game itself to the point where it gave me a headache and I found myself completely disoriented while playing.

I do want to bring attention to the gunplay before going into all the bad stuff, though -- good feedback, good sounds, good impact when you shoot an enemy. I didn't play very much but the shotgun has some screen shake when you shoot it.
It would also have a passable art style if the resolutions were made consistent and the occlusion issues were fixed but I'll get to that.

But then you get into... everything else.
-Resolutions are all over the place. Your gun is high-res, wall textures are very low-res, and your HUD is somewhere in between. If the resolutions were consistent then you could very conceivably say this game has a semi-decent art style.
-There's horrible occlusion issues. I'm seeing walls disappear in my peripheral (this combined with the aforementioned mixels gave me a headache) and object sprites placed closely together resulted in smaller sprites cutting off bigger sprites.
-Sounds don't have any distance. I had an enemy wake up on the other side of the map and it sounded like they were right next to me.
-This is supposed to be cloning Wolfenstein 3D top to bottom, but the walls go at angles too wide to be a Wolf3D clone (you could easily overlook this but it bugs me).
-Why does your character hold the shotgun against their right shoulder with their left hand? I know eye dominance is a thing that exists IRL but it would make no sense to have that in a super-arcadey game like this is supposed to be.
-TOO MANY FAKE DOORS. Fake doors use the same texture and are indented in the wall as much as a regular door. I got lost in the second level for maybe 5 minutes because every single door was fake, and I could only get out when I found a secret (WHY would you ever do this? It was a ♥♥♥♥♥ level design choice when Wolf3D did it and it's still a ♥♥♥♥♥ design choice over 30 years later -- and in the second level??? Hello???).
-How is this game so big? 500mb? Even Intrude, which does a much better job of mimicking Wolf3D, is only less than 30mb

Again, good message but the execution is pretty bad. I understand this was made by one person but pretty much none of these issues require a massive team to fix. Hell, it's a Java game, so someone smarter than me could fix pretty much everything and compress the game a lot in maybe a week.

I mean it's good, I played it a bunch on PS5 and it runs fine on PC outside of some stutters, but what's with the Eggs overlay? What does it do?

Best Sonic game since Generations, hands down. Not a perfect game by any means (the pop in is atrocious and needs to be addressed ASAP) but if this is the direction Sonic is gonna be taken moving forward, sign me up

Originally put this down on the night of release because I was up super late to play it and got tired, picked it back up cuz of the new patch and Edgerunners, and I'm havin a blast
