Lots of fun, very beautiful, pretty short, interesting (though also vague) story that kinda gets you thinking.

the game is fun and I had a blast... BUT lots of things are buggy or unintuitive. For example, months are 30 days long, but years are only 50 days long, and neither of those facts are stated anywhere that I can find, it just has to be figured out through extrapolation.

When they ported the game to consoles, they rebuilt the game in unity. When they wanted to add controller support to the PC version due to the steam deck release, they re-ported the console port back to PC as a "controller version", which means it cannot be played with a mouse anymore and the save games are incompatible between versions.

It's these things and many other smaller ones that felt avoidable by the devs, and they bothered me through my playthrough.

Great demo of technology. And as a speedrunner of the portal series, this is also just super nice that they didn't modify the game for this, it's just a visual overhaul on the same exact game. Perfect.

Good place to find people who are bored and open to chatting and opening up about themselves. Also a good place to find a lot of harassment, if you aren't careful...

But I can guarantee that (if you're a decent person) you'll eventually find the bestest of friends on this platform. It helped me grow as a person quite a lot.

edit: I've never been truly fond of the platform itself, it's riddled with performance issues and bugs. I used to look past that, but now with the recent "Security update" and following events, it's evident the VRchat dev team (or maybe just its management) have been making really poor choices that I don't think anyone in the community fully understands. I can't really recommend this platform anymore with how unprogressive the development team is.

Honestly it's not even worth buying this for someone as a prank gift. it's programmed so poorly. Worst minesweeper clone I've played to date.

Fantastic idea, looks like it's perfect at first. But doesn't properly keep track of your rotations, and has caused me to actually tangle myself up... The number in the OVRAS menu has always been accurate for me so I recommend opening the steam overlay and looking at that number instead.

Only takes 10 minutes, this is the first game/demo/thing you should play if you get index controllers.

UI isn't the best looking but that's literally the worst thing I can say about it. It's a collection of very useful tools that I think anyone using VR for 5+ hours a week should look into.

Damn this game was fun. I haven't really gotten into the multiplayer "battle mode" but the single player campaign sucked me in for a WEEK. It got my heart racing like no other game has, not even Doom 2016. Honestly the campaign took me about 50 hours to explore, that's like $1.5 per hour of fun. Going to eat dinner somewhere costs WAYY more than $1.5

Seems to be another logical simulation game/guide thing, but completely peppered with issues. I didn't go more than a minute or two before having another complaint/suggestion for the game. Considering it was released in 2016, and still has so many issues, I do not recommend getting this game since it seems very unlikely that it will ever be fixed and actually enjoyable to play.

Here are some of the issues I have:
1. when first opening the game, it tells you "This game requires your full attention while playing. [...] Do you want to play now?" of course I want to play now, that's why I opened the game...
2. there are basically no settings in the game. It will always run fullscreen borderless, you cannot change the controls, and there are no simple options you can use to change this.
3. when I opened the game, it asked if I wanted to open the web-browser version. It said it would remember my choice. I clicked no, but now I'm curious to see if it's less buggy in a web browser. Well I'm not sure how to make it un-remember my choice since there's no options menu... maybe I could reset all the saved data, but then I would lose my progress in the game... what a horrible solution.
4. the intro tutorial is horrendously slow-going. First time opening the "design mode" it greeted me with a four page text introduction, and it reads like a book.
5. seems like the mouse wheel just scrolls vertically, instead of zooming out. I cannot find a way to zoom in or out, or scroll horizontally for that matter, no matter which buttons or scroll wheel combination I use. Maybe the web browser version works better, but I'd rather just refund the game instead of testing this.
