To be more detailed:

Pros:

Amazingly immersive wizarding world that doesn't fill empty as such games tend to be.
There is always a side quest / Merlin's Trial / Poacher camp / Beast rescue / ... or at least a goblin or a wolf or a troll in each 15 seconds of broom travel.

Hogwarts and Hogsmeade are nicely detailed and makes every HP fun's dream come true.
I personally strolled in every possible room and hallway I found for about 3-4 hours before my first Main Story quest. All the random encounters in the caste such as ghosts dueling on a bet who will first die 2000 times or a knight armor malleting another one while you pass nearby make the casual walk across the familiar places even more engaging.

Storyline is nicely structured although after an antagonist like Volan de Mort, it's hard to feel it for some other wizard (or goblin).
The side quests are even more interesting giving the player a chance to get to know other students and professors.

Graphics were quite good even though I was playing on rather low settings.


Cons (maybe?):

Merlin's trials have about 4-5 ways of completion and being repetitive 30th time can feel a bit tedious. That's all well and good but the cutscene after each completion that takes 15 seconds and is always the same and is not skippable is what made me just turn my broomstick away.

Some bugs happened but nothing to ragequite the game, however there is one that doesn't allow me finishing a quest of freeing a bird from cage since I opened the cage before taking the quest. I am sure this are minor ones and will be patched quite soon.

Well, you can't release a HP game without Quidditch in it :) Of course we expect the DLC news at some point!


All in all, this is pretty much what I would want form a HP game.
