After 300 hours of playing Lost Ark I've decided to sit myself down and do a Good Review of a game that I have come to love playing and love dedicating my free time to. This is a Part 1 review of the game coming from me (hoping gaben lets me just edit this review at a later point in time for updates).

I feel like I Need to Start off My Review with a Disclaimer that I feel should be Obvious to Every Player/Gamer, but from what I've seen of many reviews here isn't obvious. So Disclaimer:
Lost Ark is an MMO game! What does this mean?
It means that it is Different from most of the other games out there on the market.
An MMO-game is what I've decided to mint as a "LTPDR-game" and stands for:
Long Term Play Dedication Rewarding Game.

Now if you're still wondering what I mean by that, I am basically saying that it is a game where you should be expected to grind, farm, collect or whatever term you want to use to describe, on how to get to the rewarding, cool and good stuff.
Lost Ark is a game where you go from being a weak civilian village fighter to becoming a world-renowned ultimate warrior god/goddess that even the biggest and baddest foes out there fear to face.
Achieveable through long term play and dedication.

If you've read this far, I've hopefully given you a grasp of what an MMO game is.
Whether you're totally new to MMO's, as a "filthy casual player" or a hardcore gamer I really think Lost Ark is a game for everyone to try out and have fun with.

Lost Ark is a game that really rewards the dedicated and devoted players, where there is always another adventure waiting for you around the corner.
It is one of the most beautiful MMO-games graphically out there, a very important factor for me personally.
It also has some of the most beautiful music scores I've ever heard, that really sets the mood and brings out so many emotions from you its incredible.

The unique combat system is very innovative and pushes you to always come up with new ideas and tactics on how to defeat your enemies. If you ever hear anyone say that there is only 1 way that is right or their way is the only right way, then take a step back, because it is so Not True. So I really encourage you to find your own playstyle and not listen to what others do. Coming up with your own unique playstyle and combos really has its own charm.

The story is very interesting, intriguing and has some very cool and well-made cinematic sceneries that I really enjoyed.
Progressing through the game feels very balanced and thought out by the devs and I also like the fact that they made the Main Story to be an Important central piece to the game.
At the same time I've never felt forced or stressed out to just continue on with the main story the entire time. You can easily just take a break from the story to do other fun adventures.
And I'll let you in on a little secret. Many side adventures rewards you big time. True story.

So if you've read this far, you're probably wondering how new-player-friendly Lost Ark is?
I can tell you that I was overly positively surprised of how much the developers have actually cared to help explain things with actual Guide Quests. It is honestly genius how they are set up. The Guide Quests helps you to both learn the games mechanics/content and rewards you for completing them at the same time.
Whenever you unlock a new part or content in the game, you can expect there to be a Guide Quest helping you by explaining that new content for you. Sure it takes some time to learn all there is to Lost Ark, but I'm really happy that I dont have to learn it all by myself.

Performance wise, the game runs super smooth for me overall, with seamlessly going in and out from places and areas, that would normally have loading screens. And on the occasions where loading screens occur, they only last for a couple of seconds.
And this is what you can expect when playing Lost Ark with a modern gaming PC and a modern fiber internet connection.

I think this will have to wrap up Part 1 of my review of Lost Ark. Some last words before I leave you:
Lost Ark is a Super Fun, Long Term Play Dedication Rewarding Game. A game that everyone can enjoy playing. However you need to remember that Lost Ark is an MMO-game!

So dont be upset just because you cant do everything there is to do in the game, within a period of 2 weeks to a month!
Or whine because it requires you to grind, farm and/or collect lots of stuff to get to the good stuff in the game. This is an intentional design that defines MMO-games from other games.

Something that I feel many reviewers ("filthy casual players") no offense, dont seem to undestand! After having read many of the negative reviews saying for example:
"It's not a fun game because its too grindy" or "It's like a 2nd job, but without getting paid".
Reviews like these just sound ignorant and shows they dont know what an MMO actually is.
It also doesn't make the game justice and dont have anything to do with whether or not the game is good or bad.

Hopefully, you will find my Part 1 review of Lost Ark more informative, and if you are new to the phenomena of MMO-games, you will now also have a better understanding of what such a game is and what you should expect from it.
Happy gaming and good luck on your adventures in Lost Ark.

Pawning enemies with toilets is so much fun. Game deserves more attention and a professional scene honestly.

At first I didnt think this game was much of anything really. But then there was a free tryout weekend.
So I thought to myself, why not. As it turned out I liked it, checked the prize to buy it and since it was 70% off at the time I bought it. After I bought it I decided to start over on the hardest difficulty. Turned out to not be that hard if you're used to fast-paced action games from before. Well if you are trying to do the ghost challenge as I was going for then some levels can be a bit tricky. So the key to success in this game is to save very very often. If you dont you'll just get frustrated on yourself and sloppy in your stealthy performance.
I really liked this game and I liked the way you could affect how your ending should be, dark or light, depending on if you killed or didnt kill your enemies. As I went for to not kill most of my enemies I got a nice ending. Maybe if I play it again I will get a more darker ending, who knows.
This game gets 8 out of 10 stars from me. May you enjoy this game as much as I have.
