I like the early game where things can still be pretty difficult and u can strategize around your limited resources to get an optimal outcome. The late game gets really boring after a while cause most of the time you just melt through rooms on your way to the exit. It's pretty fun to learn about all the content, but to my memory there are a lot of things that are just slight twists on existing things, so a lot of it isn't as unique/special/interesting as it could be. At least the anticipation of an item room never gets old
