Just Play the MMOD version

Great game and great levels and I love the protagonist but I swear there are too many dang glitches in this 30 year old game still. Got stuck in the hecking floor like 7 times and had to restart my save checkpoint from like the beginning. ALSO MY DUMBAHH forgot the pipe wrench. THATS RIGHT I FINISHED THE GAME WITHOUT THE SIGNATURE MELEE WEAPON IN ONE SITTING, This game needs a official MMOD version on steam. 9/10 would play again

The way to play it

With 403 hrs on record and the fact that I am actually getting good now. I can say that this game is a tactical fun-vest. The game isn't realistic like Escape From Tarkov,Insurgency Sandstorm or Squad.

But is still one of my preferred pastimes when gaming. It itches my tacti-cool funny bone.

The game's recoil system makes you learn how the game should be played and although it isn't realistic like the other games I religiously play, the game still offers a refined mixed of strategy and skill.

The "AK-47" (AKM-n) is by far the best gun.

The crazy smoke off roots, call-outs, 1v4 make the game an adrenaline rush that comes close to Escape From Tarkov's raids on Streets.

If you are looking for a game that takes itself seriously in the year 2025 (Unlike Call of Slop) I suggest this game
The atmosphere for the maps and factions make it immersive and interesting to play as (valve please add back all map based factions).

CONS:
1.The only cons of this game is the salty TKers (randoms) that get pissy if you go on a 15-1 Kill Streak, I would say that they need an ego check.
2.The occasionally spin-bot hacker that goes 40-0
3.The guy who doesn't use their mic despite it being 2025
4.The guy who doesn't call his Flash bangs
5. Mic Yappers/Spammers when the rest of the team is still alive
6. Market Scammers
7. Smurfs that make new accounts or negative boost to get in lower lobbies to make their little egos feel better
Pros:
1. Great game for strategy driven players
2. Great for people who function as a team and know their roles
3. A great one life round based game where every sound, reload, nade, and sense of direction matters
4. Cool Gambling mini game that can actually get you paid (rolled a Chrome AWP, $50.00 USD and sold it for a game I wanted I Steam)
5. Fun and Interesting people you can meet if they aren't ahh-holes first
6. Great entry to get into the E-Sports Scene
7. Will help you get gud at point-shooting/hip-firing/instinct-shooting in other games

(People will talk shiiii but hey thats life, sometimes you step on sheeeet)

I love this game, asides from the occasionally power hungry admin who got bullied in the 12th grade.
This game was my first deep dive into immersive and realistic gaming. In 2019 when the game came out on the PS4. It was my to go to game to play with my dad. My father and I spent countless hours dying and respawning along the coast leaning all the spawns and landmarks. We conquered the vanilla servers we were on and even made cool friends along the way. We even had the chance to hunt an elk with spears together. A moment I will never forget. 2yrs later I moved over to PC gaming were I still play with friends and now with my boyfriend (Who I live with). We do everything together even gaming. I hope who ever reads this, will takeway that Dayz isnt just a game. It's a second life. In all positive ways.

Damn made me wish I had a PC in 2013 to fall in love with a femboy in my teenage years.

This game was my first love into the tactical FPS genre, arcade by modern standards as games like Squad,Insurgency-(S), and Tarkov take the cake now. But as 13-17 Year old kid who played this on the PS4 right when it came out, I have to say hours worth spent. Met some cool people playing this game, LAPERs, Vets and casuals alike. Even talked some dude out of offing himself once. Hope you are okay Ward, SCOTLAND FOREVER. (Leaning mechanics were the best on the PS4, you could actually lean in and out unlike the PC version.
