This game is great, if you like deckbuilders. The later bosses may require preparation and specific strategies / cards in your deck (immunity to certain types of attacks etc), but overall great fun.

I recommend starting with and mastering the base game first. The gunslinger deck is easy mode. Be warned the DLC (especially its bosses) introduces even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (more immunities, unavoidable attacks etc), but i learned to build around the nonsense and still enjoy myself. Now at 70% off it's a no-brainer for gamers like me.

Force online connection in my single player game, and not even ensure your servers are always working?

Don't support companies that force you to install Origins, Ubisoft Connect, or similar unnecessary software, or require an online connection for no good reason.

WB Games spyware, selling personal information by default.

Forces you to install Origin. That's reason enough.


Also, copying Dark Souls mechanics for no reason other than it seemed to be what was popular at the time.
