this game, its actually more well put together than some other AAA games. (looking at you Battlefield 2042).
the multiplayer is seamless,
game play is minimal just the graphics style choice. but with enough friends its actually really good. from what i've seen so far the dev is active in any help threads in the steam forum for this game. and it also looks like they got many other ideas to bring to this.
cant wait for new maps and vehicles

Thought i'd wait for a free weekend to give it go after all reviews being mostly negative,

from the 74 minutes played. what i can say is,

The game would randomly stop accepting input, making it so mid fight, i couldnt turn, shoot, or even move.

even on low graphics settings with Vsync off, no more than 50fps. again team mates dont play as a team, and its just one big cluster ♥♥♥♥ of every player for themselves. i know that my pc is fine spec wise, and can run most things fairly decently at above 70-80fps at med-high graphics settings. i make it a religous right to keep my drivers upto date as much as humanly possible, but this seems to have 0 effect on BF2042.

my specs for any one interested.
Intel Core I7 6700k
16GB Ram @ 3000mhz
GTX 1070

also had BF2042 installed to an SSD incase of long load times if installed to a normal HDD. it brought down load times but from what i've seen or " been able to play " of BF2042 there really is not alot for what you would ultimately pay for.

I Wont be buying BF2042 after the free weekend, unless it goes through major optimisation efforts. and ALOT of bug fixing like the random time sit stops accepting inputs making movement impossible until you reboot the game.


Battlefield 4 imo was peak Battlefield.

Either REALLY Serious Mil SIM , or Buggy mess that causes flying tanks, and you getting stuck in walls, and almost always making you run 4KM because a tiny picket fence you thought wasnt an issue in a tank causes you to flip un-controllably and explode on you.
