Its fun to kill Nazis :).

This game showed me just how alone I am, and at the same time, it scared the soul out of my body (yesssssss, I get scared really easily).

So, Helldivers 2 started off super strong. Like, I was legit hooked from the start, this game was chaos in all the best ways. Imagine pulling off wild strategies with your friends while constantly dealing with friendly fire, all wrapped in this hilarious Starship Troopers vibe. It had this mix of tactical shooting and just straight-up madness that made it stand out. You’re constantly trying not to kill each other while fighting off huge alien bugs, and it just felt nice to game.

But then Sony went and messed it up BIG. In May, they dropped this bombshell that PC players would need to link their PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts to Steam. Like, seriously? Why? So now, everyone in over 170 countries where PSN isn’t even a thing was suddenly locked out of the game they paid for. This was a game that people put hundreds of hours into, and then BOOM, locked out. Over 200,000 negative reviews poured in on Steam because of that decision​. Sony backtracked real quick after the review-bombing, but the trust was already shattered...

Then came the "Escalation of Freedom" update, which honestly felt like a slap in the face. Sure, they added some cool new content like new enemies and harder missions, but at the same time, they nerfed a ton of weapons that people loved. One of the most popular guns, the SG-225IE Breaker, got wrecked with nerfs, and suddenly the strategies we’d spent ages figuring out were pointless​. It’s like the devs don’t even get that nerfing stuff in a co-op game doesn’t make sense like, why are we making the game harder for ourselves?

Don’t get me wrong, I still think Helldivers 2 has potential. But the bad decisions from Sony and the devs just make it hard to stay loyal. The community got burned too many times. If they don’t fix their communication and stop screwing around with unnecessary updates, I don’t know how many people will stick around. It’s a shame, ‘cause this game could’ve been great.

I love the humor and the story, the boss fights are intense, and the robots are funny to fight with.

If you enjoy all that, then definitely go for it 100%
