Let's see...
When I boot this game it tends to give me some issues with my mouse location. I think It has to do with my monitor resolution being 2k. Only way to fix it is to connect my controller and set it to windowed mode. After that it runs perfectly fine!
On to the quality of this game I'd say it's the best 5-7 dollars i've spent yet! The amount of fun content in this game is perfect! This was a passion project for sure and i'd say if you got the 4-5 hours to spend to beat this game and possibly 100% it then i'd give it a go!

If you are here for the story then come back next expansion. If you are here for endgame raiding and potential goated side content then this is your expansion.

is a fun game. Story kinda reminds me of a fortnite match where we take a wrong turn in the battle bus.

Buy this game if you liked dark souls and binding of isaac and secretly wanted them to combine and become a turn based rpg because that is essentially what Darkest Dungeon is.

Darkest Dungeon is a game that is extremely rng-based and you can be either destroyed by it or saved by it at times. The level of rng is akin to that of The binding of Isaac's Item drops. In The Binding of Isaac your skill level at playing the game and the plays you could make really save the game in its anti-rng-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ department. So what can the player do to manipulate their own rng?. The ability to stop a quest at any time is the main reason why this game is so amazing. You can push on and take the risk of having someone killed or afflicted. The player controls everything and the ability to prepare for bad events is the main skill in this game. There is also the nature of the game being stressfull to play. It confers stress to the player the same way it would to the heroes through sound queues and bad events. I swear i've only lost people because i was greedy and pushed on through a dungeon instead of backing out which then would result in more bad events.

To address the negative reviews for this game, all i'll say is that this game is good at confering stress to the player and can sometimes be unfun to play because of this. The game is extremely hard and they made balance changes based on exploits people used in early access. You can thankfully adjust mechanics in the game you view as unfair through in game menues. The only thing you can't change through in game menus is character levels being too high for lv.1 dungeons, but you can adjust one number in a config file if you dont like that.

Play this game if you can handle x-com 2 levels of rng ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If not then maybe go play a game that offers a challenge differently.

It's a game that should have your eye kept on it because the potential this game has is immense. Right now in it's alpha state i would have to say that the 17 dollars i spent on it was worth every penny because of the amount of content that is already in it. The main feature of this game is that the scale of all the planets and astroids are insane because they are practically the size of real life astroids and planets and you can walk on the planets and astroids unlike elite dingus.

This game has huge potential and it would be a good idea to support an awsome, original concept like this. If you are still unsure you should try the demo because the demo is the main game without saves. That basically means you have no content restrictions in the demo but you still cannot save so it is worth it to buy the full game. The official website offers a pay-what-you-want sytem where you pay what you want for the initial game but each new update requires you to chip in a bit more money. This is also nice because it means that if you are short on money you can still play the game the way it was meant to be instead of maybe having to pirate it because you dont have 17 bucks.
