maybe the best game in the platform fighter genre, made for a competitive audience (which is pretty obvious in the gameplay) but it's easy enough to where the average person can understand how the game works after a short playtime. the main thing that i love about rivals compared to any other plat fighter that isn't made by nintendo is that aether studios actually gave each character their own unique moveset and personality and didn't just go "oooh unga bunga lets make melee but bad",

overall 9.9/10, losing 0.1 points because orcane isn't top 1
