The game is really nice, even though it needs some attention to some classes, the game modes are nice. After my 3000+ hours on it, I got really bored. The community though... Anyways, try it out, if you didn’t.

Edit: it's 2020, this game is still nice, despite not getting an update in years, but who knows, 2021 may be the year where it will get an update.

Edit v2: It's the year 2022, the game has yet to receive a major update since the Jungle Inferno one, in the meantime, bots took over (although it's at a somewhat controllable status), community servers are being closed one by one but at a slow rate, and the only updates the game gets are either cosmetics, crates, halloween update and christmas update.
I still recommend it, since the game becomes enjoyable once you have a handful of people/friends that can make the game more entertaining.

2023 Update: There's no update.

2024 Update: The game has received the love and attention that it much needed from Valve. After the "review bomb" made by the community around June / July 2024, Valve took notice of this action and took the problem into their hands, thus ending the bot infestation in TF2.

Other than that, the game received it's casual updates / tweaks, while the community either grows or shrinks year by year.
