load of fun but buggy as ♥♥♥♥,

so much good to say about this game. lots of playstyles, fast or slow, diverse weapons, and above all else a very fun gameplay loop. Levels are procedural but have a good sense of direction, bosses are fun, unlocking weapons is very rewarding, progressing in the game feels great, each perk upgrade feels significant and rewarding, but the game will get much tougher to keep you in check. absolutely fantastic game and i binge it daily.

that said

ive encountered bugs as minor as visual things that dont affect gameplay, but some can be bugs as bigly as run ending softlocks. I've had moments where platforms get locked by the enemy that does so, but upon killing him, the platforms dont unlock. really jank hit detection, especially on stairs. Many such cases i've hit an enemy, but it wont register at all. likewise they hit me, and it doesnt register. Goes both ways, still an issue to begin with.

gameplay is tied somewhat to framerate. higher FPS means platforms will move faster. V-Sync on, platforms move slower. not a huge issue, but i would love to speed around like that without screen tearing

overall game's fantastic and addicting as hell but developers please improve hit detection. <3 much love

atmospheric survival horror with cool puzzle elements involving radios, a bit of decoding, and a pretty tight (but not too tight) ammo supply

honestly ive never been a fan of realistic art styles but this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥' does it right. arkane doesn't disappoint, ever.
