If you are just a casual player looking for a nostalgia trip, this version will do.
While I like this remaster and some good work has been put into it, it was primarily in the looks department and not the mechanics department. When compared with the original, it lacks in 2 key areas:
1. Input lag - some people don't understand what it is, this game is a great example how to show it to them. The delay between a press of a button and an action taken on the screen is huge and noticeable. Is it just a few miliseconds? Yes. Can you feel it? Yes! Does it impact the gameplay in a game where perfectly timed jumps are needed? YES!!!

2. Model size / Hitbox - Meaning the objects that you see are actually different size as you see them, icluding Crash himself. This will make you fall from ledges, not reach ledges etc.

3. Sluggishness - This one just finishes off what 1 and 2 started, but it's really a deadly combo. Crash from remaster is by far not as nimble as Crash in original series. He feels rubbery. Or maybe it is something with the camera/shadows, not 100% sure, but the combination of 1+2+3= very often you will jump with feeling of speed, only to just miss the ledge and fall to your death. This was NOT a thing in the original trilogy, in those I was always sure how far I will jump and where will I land. Here you are somewhat always insecure about the result, it just does not feel natural.

Also, the soundtrack is not the same as in the original, while the melodies are the same. It has been touched, modernized. And I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's okay but I would personally prefer the original soundtrack.

Overall, if you really mean it, get a PS3 and buy the PS1 version of PS Store. If you REALLY mean it, get a CRT, PS1, the disk (even if bootleg, idgaf) and play it the way it was meant to be.
But if you are just a casual player looking for a nostalgia trip, this version will do.

So I was looking for a short-ish game to play, how long to beat told me it should take about 16 hours so I went for it ... Here I am 44 hours after xD But do I regret it? Nope, I totally fell for the game, returned with anticipation to do more missions, clear out areas, subjugate some uruks ...

It terms of gameplay, game has an Assassin's Creed vibe, but Batman Arkham series controls with nice combos. It's obviously done for consoles, what you will mostly notice on climbing, which is so automated it hurt, movement over obstacles is literally the weakest point of this game. With that said, camera can be also a bit PITA when you are somewhere in a corner and it can't decide where to turn, but that's fortunately rather rare occurrence.

The nemesis system is a nice thingie. The side missions are often more fun than the main storyline (which is non-canon btw, even though it has a very nice grasp often and I would be okay to accept some of the things as canon, ie. fauna)

Both DLCs are also enjoyable to play, expanding on the base game in style of play. A weird area where I'm still unsure what to think is, that you can grind levels through side missions and nemesis fights so you become pretty overpowered for the main storyline, but later on game kinda caught up the tempo and fights still had some challenge in them.

Overall I'm really happy with the game, it's a great piece from LOTR universe and 5 years after initial release you can get it dirt cheap in sales, bundles and stuff. If you are a LOTR fan, fantasy RPG fan, hack&slash combo combat fan I'm pretty sure you will be happy with this game.

8/10 for somewhat annoying climb controls and fact that it's just a console port, even though to give credit where it's due, a good one, no performance issues whatsoever.

I have to leave a negative review, game does not run well on newer systems. Object collision is a joke, sensitivity is ultra wonky (only the very lowest one, 0 bars, was usable).

Due to this I could not do the second gunfight, just dees not work ... quick googling, "increase sensitivity for duel" = does not work; "put affinity of the process to one processor only" = worked!

Story seems interesting, but movement is pain, you character is stiff as piece of wood, cant climb over anything (reverend but that's intentionl) ...

After finishing, story was good, enjoyable actually. But the way it was presented was bad, really terrible at times. Many times I felt that the game is purposedly stalling, to get some extra playtime but at these moments I felt rather that searching for help online (1 or 2 times) or borderline quitting :)

Voice acting of reverend is great, voice acting of Billy is terrible. The character of reverend is great, with some back story explained later in the game, much better than Billy.
The voices of characters within in-game cutscenes are low, sometimes really inaudible.

And yeah, thing that was most-stupid in the whole game... Spiders. Aggressive spiders in the caves at the late part of the game. Small Mexican tarantules that in normal conditions would run away from you and you could squish them with your boot should they try anything. Here? They follow you, bite you and worst of all, jump at you like Facehuggers from Alien. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?!

I would be okay with skeletons (there are none) or something because of cursed gold blah blah, but authors obviously didn't want anything too supernatural, obviously some destiny/curse thingies vs. christianity were borderline enough. And then... Deadly Aggressive Tiny Little Spiders!

Overall, the game was not he worst, the stroy was okay-to-good quality, but all of the things around it ... Well I'll leave that up to do, I'm glad I'm done with this and can move to something else...

I was so hyped to play this game after "The New Order", found it on sale, thanks to Corona I had time to play it and ... ended up "kinda disappointed".
As you can see, I left a positive review despite my first sentence. This is because the game is not bad or anything, it is worth playing, even though is by far not as good as The New Order. Let me tell you why:

Story:
Story is weak, except a few good moments, I'm not gonna write any spoilers though. Characters are very often behaving stupid, with no logic or planning behind their actions related to story progression. Also you are jumping around from one extreme to another, the flow of the story is thus kinda bad IMO.

Steath option is technically impossible in a leisure play approach, you would need to try hard, because spawns are done in a way that everytime you approach new "Alarm" area, some NPC is spawned in a way to spot you pretty quickly. On higher difficulty NPC also technically focus you right away, one mistake and the whole map segment know where you are all the time, no way of hiding, even though they never had a chance knowing where you are on the other side of the map in the first place.

There is no major game improvement over The New Order. They tried by adding contraptions that give you "extra powers" but these don't feel special or revolutionary. Another thing is Enigma codes that drop from "Uberkommandants" (not a collectible like in TNO). Half a game the game tells you these are improtant and can lead to special zones in the area or whatever and that you can decode them, but you still have no idea how and have a feeling you are doing something wrong. Then suddenly a machine unlocks at you base that finally gives you possibility to unlock these, for side missions to eliminate Nazi generals.
And the benefit for eliminating all of the top Nazis in America is ... nothing :) (achievements only actually, and getting the extra contraptions which you don't really need, you can finish the game without doing these side missions)

There are some other minor flaws but these are the ones that stood out in my memory. So to sum it up, the game was okay ... but just okay. Not special, not good, just okay. I'm glad I saw Anya topless (yes, it's there) but that's just not enough. And she's just pixels anyways :D
Knowing that Youngblood was a bad game as well I'm kinda afraid how the Wolfenstein brand is gonna carry on, as game design is obviously going in a bad way, hopefulyl they will figure it out and the next one will be once again just as fun to play as The New Order or The Old Blood, because those I was really looking forward to launch, this one gave me the feeling "I jsut want to finish this to get it off the list".

Play time 5 hrs to finish, possibly sooner if you play on Keyboard and mouse.
At first I have tried to play with a DS4 controller ... it was pretty good experience, but then I figured out that without guns the game is much much harder (or maybe the guns make the game much easier...?) anyways, aiming with mouse compared to analog stick of a controller?
We have a clear winner!
This actually took me a few runs to figure out and give Mouse&KB a try, haven't looked back (regardless of PCMasterRace factor, I honestly think that game like this one should have better experience on a controller, if for nothing else then at least as a tribute to the console roots of the game)
Also, Road Rash games that I played as a kid (1995 Road Rash for PC and RoadRash: Jailbreak on PS1) did not have guns in them, they were purely combat based, so I did not pay much attention to guns in this game, seeing them more as of a gimmick, focusing on the melee combat.
Little did I know at the time you can mow and spray enemies down like flies...

Now finally to the game itself! Overall experience is positive!
The tempo is fine, there is some "story" but it is there just to give the game some reason of beating everyone around you to death. Some could say that the game is "loopy", doing same things over and over, but cmon, it's "Road Rash", what would you expect? Just kill them all and it's 'kay.
The game performs well, there were no drops, framerate was high constantly, playing on an i5 9gen + 1660Ti, 16DDR4 laptop, easy peasy. Regular PC semi-modern can play the game for sure, but ofc keep requirements in mind. Also as I mentioned controller, I did not have to setup anything, it worked right away through Steam (ofc you can change controls if you want)

Negatives... There were some. Sometimes the gameplay situation gets bouncy and you will end up thrown away somewhere on the side at those moments you can reset yourself to track, instead of having driving back like an idiot (in some cases it is actually impossible even due to terrain/buildings etc.) Once I got glitched in a gap on the rooftops level... So these things sometimes happen and they are quite frustrating.
Also sometimes AI literally gangs up on you and if you don't pay attention to that, you will quickly end up dead. But in a few runs you will quickly learn how to deal with this (pssssht... with a gun *wink* ).

Bought the game through Humble Bundle pack. I was looking forward to getting it for some time now, but I was waiting for some sale to pop-up sooner or later and it finally happened. I actually bought the bundle BECAUSE of this game. On price, historical low at the time of report was 5,54€ on Fanatical
About 5€ is a great price, buy right away!
6-8€ feels like a good deal if you don't feel like sniping the best price possible.
9-12€ is the price point where this game should "retail", if you want the game NOW! it is okay to buy it for this price
12+€ is kinda not worth, currently the regular prices are around 14€, MSRP is 20, but cmon, we all know sales exist all over the year

As already said, first completion took about 5 hours, but I expect the game to last me for about 10-12, as I want achievements and also to unlock content. If you are reading this, look above the review what's the actual time I did inside of this for better picture.

Addition after 11 hours of gameplay: I found it enjoyable to return to game but at the same time im somehow annoyed. The more you are playing the more the game kinda punishes you for it. It's supposed to pose a challenge to you and motivate you to play, yet it feels as a form of punishment.
During your first plays you collect XP to earn permanent bonuses. At about the same time you start getting bonuses that are interesting and reward you with benefits .... you are starting to unlock characters with "no Skill Tree" trait, so that feels like a middle finger and time wasted, XP is suddenly pointless.
After that you get characters that only have reduced stats and ... nothing else to compensate for it.
You are spending XP to unlock bikes that are worse than the starting one... Why?!
Campaign Plus is the same thing as regular campaign except the levels are all mixed up and you cannot skip any of them, so it feels long. Did it once, no way I'm going for the "Complete C+ 10 times" achievement.
All of these weird quirks made me reduce the game rating from 7,5-8 to 6,5-7 area.

Small note at the end, contrary to being okay with weak "story" I'm also kinda sad that the game does not bring any sort of a Mascot or memorable character
that could be associated with it, but that's possibly due to fact that I kinda doubt there will be Road Redemption 2 anytime soon, even though I'd be happy for it.

Summary: Recommended, Relaxing, Fast and one could say that it also has the "one more run" thing in it!
but also frustrating in some moments due to glitches and kinda demotivating as you play further on.
Good game though for the buck I paid for it, would rate somewhere just below 7/10.

Much better and quite longer than Blue Shift, new guns and enemies. Sometimes glitchy on new systems, mainly with elevators (I was getting stuck on them).

I really hope they will bring the character back somehow in future, would be deserved (even though I read this is non-canon storyline). Game was a lot of fun!

Pretty nice side game to the Half-Life series, definitely worth playing. Graphics are a bit obsolete as this is the old engine, get ready for 4:3 1280x1024, but for the few hours anyone can handle it. Simple shooter, with some puzzles on the way but nothing complicated. One, or two were rather annoying due to lack of logic (ie. broken fuse cable on the ground which you need to connect, normalny you would just connect the cables but that would be too obvious so you need to put a barrel over the cables so there is a connection! 200IQ!!!)

But overall, a positive experience, going for the Opposing Force tomorrow, while it is free, Alyx coming soon!!!

CS:GO Review
One of the best online FPS shooters, unfortunately currently in a somewhat-hybernated state, as all we get in patches is skin boxes and updates for the BR mode that is just a weird gimmick due to which game had to go F2P to attract people back. Volvo, if you would make more operations as you used to, people would be back faster.
