Phenomenal. I'm pretty bad at both brawlers and Crypt of the Necrodancer, but Hi-Fi Rush is more inviting and fun than anything in this space, despite holding no punches. It's gorgeous, frequently hilarious, tons of fun, and it's so clearly a labour of love from its developers that it absolutely deserves your time. A couple bits of 3D platforming are kinda rough, but that's been true for 20 years, and easily forgivable. Thoroughly recommended.

It's a lot of fun, gorgeous, and there are a phenomenal number of changes that can happen over the game. Highly recommended, although it still has some Supermassive janky head animations, and the ending is a little weaker than Until Dawn or House of Ashes.

Early Access Review
To me, Satisfactory hits the perfect sweet spot for a factory game. Every little problem solved in a few minutes opens up new possibilities and a new problem to solve, and just when that would get overwhelming the game basically says "Put this in automation and go explore for an hour." Rinse, repeat, and before you know it you're shipping off supercomputers from your customised factory nexus. Surprisingly chill for the most part, it's an excellent game for listening to podcasts; it's also gorgeous, and has a delightful vein of dark humour. Strongly recommended.

This is a delightful and hilarious game. It loves and mocks point-and-clicks and platformers both, it combines the two genres in a really weirdly brilliant fusion in gameplay, the script is a constant stream of wit and charm, and it somehow is also a heartfelt exploration of ageing from rebellious youth into the worst of all fates, *being a grown-up*. Absolutely recommended.

RoR2 will quickly hook you, as you go from a simple commando, reading a new item's description saying "Huh, this item gives me critical hit chance?", to zooming through a spaceship graveyard as a rampaging construction robot yelling "I've got eight lenses and a headdress so let me have that scythe and you can have this guillotine in trade!" to a friendly flying wizard who's gathering elemental wedding rings and personal force fields.

RoR2 is an excellent way to while away an hour at a time, phenomenal with friends, and is a great audiovisual feast too, with a gorgeous chunky visual aesthetic and a great Chris Christodoulou soundtrack.

A wonderful, exhilarating, immersive, and truly evil game.

Tons of fun. The developers clearly adore Mega Man, and have made a compelling and fun roguelike out of the concept. I struggle with finicky platforming on later levels, but that can be minimised by choosing to do the levels you struggle with earlier in the cycle, so it's never a dealbreaker. The soundtrack is also going to be stuck in my head for quite a while, I think.
