im happy i bought this game on sale, but it needs better optimization. running this on a 3070 with presentable lag. there are too many glitches to enjoy this game at its full potential. i like the concept and game mechanics though. it reminds me of howl's moving castle and the craft.

since its early access at the time of this review, then i recommend anyone reading this to try it out despite its flaws.

One of my favorite 2012 classics! I love this game, and played it over and over. I missed this game and glad it's finally been implemented to Steam. It's imperfect, however. Riddled with bugs, QTE's breaking and having to start over an entire stage just to come across the same problems, No Playstation input controls (I use a Dualshock 4 controller), sound breaking/impaired + Juliet can't count. Voice lines spams revolve around boss battles or mini-games. The gameplay feels more... clunky when the original had minor issues though, and the camera/aim still feels bad despite the remaster claimed they "fixed" it. I've always enjoyed the trashy writing and how chintzy it is. I do look back at some jokes that I missed. Some are funny, some aren't. I am happy Lollipop Chainsaw is back in my library (even though I own the Xbox 360 copy) and I can play it again. I'm hoping to see bug fixes and patches so it can be stable at least. The price tag is too high and I would wait FOR ITS sales or use RPCS3, I was gifted my copy. However, I'm not against anybody who decides to buy it but consider my review if you see it.

Editing my review, and it seems like they had QTE's set to Auto when you start the game. I turned to manual, restarting my game multiple times because my QTE's were stuck and I couldn't advance on boss levels. Please fix this, it's boring to have QTE's set automatically, but what's worse is to not have them working properly when the assist is turned off. It's likely the devs had it preset as Auto knowing QTE's were broken so they can hit release day with a bandaid and patch it later. It should be patched asap imo along with everything else that's been mentioned. There are A LOT of game-breaking bugs in the Remastered version than the Original version. Lollipop Chainsaw in 2012 was anything else, but infested with major bugs.

I will update it if fixes are implemented, but I don't know if that'd happen anytime soon.

- Pros:

Can be ran on mid to high-end PCs with other programs (Just adjust some of the graphic settings and it can be just like Wallpaper Engine)

Be able to change day-to-day tasks and add reminders for the calendar week

Super cute and cozy!

Cons:

Needs more features; ambiance sounds, decor, customization, custom music, more activities.

Not a lot of music choices. There is an in-game browser, but it's a bit weird to navigate and you could only access YouTube. You're probably better off using your own browser or music program of choice.

Needs a feature to be able to turn off graphics settings.

This game used to be fun, but it could still be. I realize all ASH games will all be the same in capacity. I realize this game has gone stale and I try to stay away from it for a while, so that way when they add new content I could participate and enjoy it again while it lasts. I'll continue to support the game non-financially, but I recommend anyone who is interested in it to try it out once. If it's not what you've expected, or you do enjoy it, etc. It's mostly depended on you. It could be fun, stale, in-between.
