If you want a Sci-Fi/Space game where you feel the wonder and vastness of space, don't waste your time on this. Get Elite Dangerous or No Man's Sky for half the price /shrug.

I hadn't played Don't Starve until my brother bought the Mega Pack and handed me a copy of Don't Starve Together. If you like challenging and unforgiving games, and like to play co-op with friends, then I highly recommend this game. As others have said, the question is not as to whether or not you will die, but rather, as to when and how you will die.

This game brings out teamwork and a real sense of accomplishment when you manage to successfully coordinate and achieve a goal. I would recommend playing with close friends and using VoIP in order to maximize enjoyment.

The only problem that I ran into (and this may be due to being new to the game) is that the food spawns do not appear to scale with the number of players at the time of writing this, so unless you manually toggle the food sliders to "more", I found that the hunt for food tended to be so much in focus as to deter from exploring other content. By the time we were self-sufficient on food, winter hit and we were absolutely not ready for it.

Even at high latency, the game is quite responsive and playable. I literally live across the planet from my brother, and with a ping of 250-300ms, it was totally playable. Combat and dodging are other issues though.
