Fantastic experience! Lots of emotive themes and minor details that make this game stand out. Puzzles were challenging at times but not hard enough to distract from the main purpose, and the soundtrack is very well produced. 0 bugs throughout the entire experience, all of the controls become second nature and the abilities you earn are put to the test throughout all stages of the game. This also leads to the point that the game has good replay value when hunting for achievements and extra puzzles.

My main and only critique is the narration. The makers somewhat failed to choose between showing and telling, and it results in a bit of forced storytelling. This is a minor issue however and I'm sure it won't bother most players whatsoever.

I have to family share this game so there is no real record of how many hours I have. It should show on this review but that doesn't matter.
Basically, this game is like eating a pomegranate. You munch into it and these ♥♥♥♥ little seedlings enter your mouth but at the same time they taste nice. That is what it means to play rust, even with an FX series CPU that runs the game on 50fps.

Approaching 1k hours on this game, Peaked gold 1 so I think I am entitled to some low form of opinion on this game.

The first thing I would like to mention is that R6 devs publish very brave updates. They change UI and release events constantly, but what this also means is that the game is constantly getting harder to run. R6 used to be optimised for my pc, I could play at 160+ fps without many dips. Now, every update hammers another nail into the coffin which makes me sad because there are other priorities than upgrading/getting a new pc because the game cant run smoothly for me rn.

Another thing is that they ruined spawnpeeking. I am an OG rat when it comes to spawnpeeks, that ♥♥♥♥ used to account for like 50% of my kills on defence. Now, I feel restricted and I get less fun out of the game but this is really just my own personal opinion.

The reverse team damage feature isnt bad either, can be just as funny as TK'ing without any punishment esp if you play with friends. Overall the game has always been chill in pretty much every rank until diamond. People dont give off toxic vibes in general and sometimes you get into an vc argument but its all fun and games in the end.

The operators are all unique but they seem to be kinda dry nowadays, like theyre running out of ideas or focusing too much on more sweaty abilities that could be 200IQ in pro play. I always liked that whether you like simplicity or complexity, there is always an operator on the spectrum for you (I was big on Rook and Doc when they had Acog scopes). The skins for guns and operators are pretty much always nice looking and there is a wide variety of them, with the exception of new ops who get a seasonal skin on release anyway.

Overall game is very nice and cheap (pretty much perma on sale at this point) and if it isnt then you can just get a key from a website for like 8eur.

I regret buying this game. It was too late to refund so now I must keep this garbage in my library.

Finished the game in hard combat difficulty, seeing as I am quite the FPS God. I think it has amazing graphics for such an old game and the story was oddly captivating, which made me come back to it when I was bored.
Very memorable and fun game 10/10. It's often on sale for about 2 (insert currency) so it's definitely at least worth trying
