One of the best RPGs of all time, with impeccable artistic features. I can't recommend it enough.

LONG

The gameplay is very fluid and fun, allowing free exploration of the map and turn-based combat (Divinity Original Sin or XCOM style), based on the Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition system. The different difficulty settings allow you to shape the gameplay to be more story-oriented or strategic, which is great.

But it's in the artistic part that the game really shines, with enchanting soundtracks, hand-picked voice actors, magnificent maps and impeccable script. It's clear that the game was made by highly talented people who knew what they were doing and, most importantly, had the right conditions to develop it correctly.

The attention to detail is impressive. The world feels alive and there are multiple ways to explore it and advance the story. In most cases, you have the freedom to choose to be the good guy, the bad guy or simply ignore everyone and follow your own path, it's liberating.

I've played for over 550 hours in my 10+ playthroughs, and in each one I've encountered something new - an NPC I'd never spoken to, a cave I'd never visited, or an item I'd never used.

I was already a Larian fan after playing Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2, so my expectations for BG3 were high, but it still managed to exceed them all. BG3 is one of those games that makes you want to erase your memory so you can play it again for the first time. I haven't felt that way about a game since Skyrim.

I can't recommend it enough. If you haven't played BG3 yet, well, my friend, I envy you!

An excellent puzzle game in the style of Journey and GRIS (almost as good). The art and music are great. It will take you about 10 hours to complete the game and all the achievements. I highly recommend it, but try to buy it when it is on sale.

LONG

Chants of Sennaar is a puzzle and adventure game that has very enjoyable gameplay, incredible soundtrack and art, and a good plot.

The gameplay is excellent, no criticism is necessary. I had a very fluid gameplay and did not experience any type of bug. The level of mechanical difficulty is non-existent, and it is impossible to die or fail in any sense, the game is very forgiving in this aspect. The real challenge is intellectual, some puzzles can take a while to be deciphered.

The game is very immersive and relies heavily on the soundtrack and ambiance of the maps, considering that communication through words is scarce, and the main objective of the protagonist is to translate the various glyphs used by the civilizations in the game.

The style of Chants of Sennaar is already well-known: few words, great music, atmospheric setting, emotional story and short duration. We can find these elements in titles like Journey and GRIS, however, I would classify Chants of Sennaar one step below them. The art is very cool, but I feel like the story and soundtrack would need to be a little more impactful to be on the same level as Journey and GRIS.

It took me about 10 hours to finish the game and complete all the achievements.

Would I recommend it? Definitely! I love this style of game and had a lot of fun with Chants of Sennaar, but I think the price is still a little steep for what the game offers, I would recommend buying it only when it is on sale.

AoM: Retold is an excellent remake, which preserves the classic gameplay and brings several new aspects to the game. The only imperfection was redoing the voice acting.

LONG

Age of Mythology is a classic RTS game. The Retold version is a remake that brought several graphical and quality of life improvements, in addition to adding exclusive content, such as new gods and new game modes.

As a novelty, the Retold version brought the Arena of The Gods mode, a co-op PvE that despite having easy and predictable missions, is very fun. The classic campaigns remain unchanged in relation to the original game, with the same incredible script, cutscenes, dialogues and missions.

My only criticism regarding the game is regarding the voice acting, which was redone. The voice acting is not bad, don't get me wrong, but I think the original is better, maybe it's just nostalgia... If you didn't play the campaigns in the original game, you will probably find the voice acting in AoM: Retold just fine.

If you're a fan of RTS games like Starcraft and Age of Empires, regardless of whether you prefer PvP or PvE, I believe AoM: Retold is a great choice, considering that the game was recently released and has the potential to attract a new generation of players.

I recommend it!

A great sequel to the first game, with several improvements. I recommend it. It should take you about 27 hours to finish all the levels and get all the achievements.

LONG

Trine 2 is a 2D platform game, and what makes it unique is the dynamic switching between the 3 protagonists (thief, wizard and warrior). The story is a direct sequel to the first game (Trine) and the gameplay has improvements in all aspects.

The story is slightly deeper and more interesting than the first game, but it is still quite shallow, but I think the level of depth is adequate for this style of game and the plot keeps you interested. The soundtrack is still fantastic, just like in the first game.

The gameplay is very similar to the first game, with the addition of some mechanics and the simplification of some systems. The scenarios have many more interactive items and feel more alive in general. In addition, the puzzles have also had their difficulty level slightly increased compared to the first game.

There are 13 levels in the base game + 7 in the expansion. It took me 27 hours to finish everything (on hard difficulty with hardcore mode on) and get all the achievements.

I think it's a really cool game! It's worth playing the first one first, to appreciate the full story. This game is usually very cheap on sale, I recommend it!

SHORT

The game has a good story - but very short and linear. It's worth it if you can buy it with an 85% discount or more. It will take you about 6 hours to finish (+1 for the remaining achievements).

LONG

A Way Out is a third-person adventure game. Its main features are the focus on the story and the exclusive co-op mode (there is no single player).

Among the positive aspects of the game, I highlight: the graphics are cool, all the scenarios are rich in detail. The gameplay is fluid, I didn't notice any bugs. The soundtrack is good and the voice acting is very well done. The story (although short) is interesting and keeps you intrigued until the end.

However, there are some negative aspects: The game requires you to have an EA account, I find this a bit ridiculous, since it was purchased on the Steam platform, but it's ok. The story (in addition to being short) presents you with several choices that have no real impact, they are just different paths to the same outcome - a bit disappointing. Lastly, I think the price the game is currently listed for is way too high for the amount of hours it offers, it took me about 6 hours to finish the game and an extra hour to collect the remaining achievements.

Is it worth it? Despite the negative aspects, I would say yes. If you can get it at least 85% off and play with a good friend, you will get 6 hours of decent gameplay and some good laughs.

It's a neat little game, the levels are beautiful and the soundtrack is very good. The gameplay is super easy and bug-free, and it will give you about 4 hours of fun (10 for completionists). But I would only buy it on sale.

LONG

Trine is a 2D platform game, and what makes it unique is the dynamic switching between the 3 protagonists (thief, wizard and warrior). The game emphasizes combat and puzzles - the combat is very forgiving and the puzzles are very easy (even on the hardest difficulty). The gameplay is very fluid, without any bugs.

The story's plot is shallow and somewhat predictable, but the voice acting is well done and the levels are rich in detail. The best part is the soundtrack, which sets the mood for each of the levels well.

There are 16 levels in total, each one taking about 15 minutes to complete. To complete the story (on hard) it takes about 4 to 5 hours. If you're going for all the achievements, it could take another 5 hours - you may have to replay some levels if you forgot a secret.

If you like games like this, I think it's worth it. This game is practically free during sales.

You get what you pay for, the game has several issues, but I think it's fun. I would recommend this game to turn-based game lovers (only if it's on 90% sale).

LONG

Blackguards is a turn-based RPG, the game has an intriguing story and pretty decent voice acting. If you like Baldur's Gate 3 or XCOM, you'll enjoy the gameplay, but don't expect the same level of quality.

The skill and talent system may seem complex at first, but experienced players will get the hang of it pretty quickly. Despite the complex system, there's no way to re-spec your companions, you're stuck with the default composition.

The game is quite clunky and feels unfinished in many aspects, it lacks a lot of polish. The worst examples of this are random crashes (there are guides on Steam teaching a simple fix), questlines out of order, and completely bugged achievements.

It should take you between 5 and 15 hours to complete the game, depending on how far you go into the side quests.

Is it worth it? Well, when this game is 90% off it's practically free, so if you like this style of game, I think it's worth it, I had a lot of fun with it. Just remember to fix the crashes. And if you're going to do the achievements, check out my guide! :)

A very good game, 40 hours that will give you a great story, vintage cars, WW2-era weapons and boogie woogie music, but only if you are resilient against bugs. You should only buy this one on sale (75% or more).

LONG

Mafia 2 is a GTA-style sandbox, set between the 40s and 50s. Despite being a direct sequel to Mafia 1, few characters from the first game appear in the second. The game has very nice graphics, a great soundtrack - the songs on the radio are well curated, several vintage cars and a very cool selection of WW2-era weapons.

The game has a satisfactory length, it took me 13 hours to finish the main campaign on the hardest difficulty and another 28 hours to complete the two DLCs and the rest of the achievements.

However, not everything is perfect. I came across a very annoying bug. When navigating the main menu, the game simply crashed. I tried to look for a solution online but couldn't find one, so I decided to put up with the bug. The solution I found was to navigate through the main menu as quickly as possible and start the game before the bug "triggered". It's important to note that this bug didn't cause me to lose any progress during the game, it only happened during the menu's opening screen, never during gameplay. But it was still super annoying.

Is it worth it? Yes, but I would wait for a sale. The story is amazing, the music is great, and the attention to detail with the cars and weapons is excellent, but I wouldn't recommend paying full price for a game with bugs.

A wonderful experience that will leave you breathless. This old game has aged like wine, with beautiful graphics, flawless gameplay, and a perfect soundtrack. To fully appreciate the experience, play it on the weekends - when there are more people playing. A single playthrough lasts 1.5 hours (+5 hours for the remaining achievements).

LONG

Journey is an atmospheric and immersive art form, built to be more of an experience than a game. There is no dialogue whatsoever, you will discover the story by walking, surfing and flying through the beautiful landscapes, while listening to an exquisite soundtrack.

During your journey, you may encounter another fellow traveler (who is actually another human player). You can help and guide each other or simply go your separate ways. There is no chat or voice, the only form of communication is through small sound and light emissions, which makes the bond created between unknown travelers truly magnificent, united by a common goal and without any bias against the other.

The gameplay flows perfectly, without any type of bug. The graphics have aged very well, and all the scenarios are breathtaking. The soundtrack is beyond words, it is an absolute masterpiece. All this in a journey that lasts 1 hour and a half. It may not seem like much, but you will want to do more than one, trust me.

However, since it is an old game, the number of active players is quite low. I highly recommend that you play Journey on the weekends (when there are more people playing), so that you can have the full experience and meet other travelers during your journey.

With that, I end this review with a note of thanks to the fellow travelers with whom I shared my journeys, thank you for your company - whoever you are.

A game without words that will leave you speechless. GRIS is beautiful with a sublime soundtrack. It's totally worth it! The total duration is 5 hours (9 hours for completionists). To get the best experience, follow these tips: turn off the screen's night mode, get a good pair of headphones, put away your smartphone, collect all the Mementos and enjoy.

LONG

GRIS is a 2D platform game, designed to be atmospheric and contemplative. The game has no dialogue (spoken, written or narrated), the entire story is told through gameplay and supported by the fantastic soundtrack - which in my opinion, is the most incredible part of this game.

Scattered in secret areas of the levels are Mementos, collectible glowing orbs. When you collect them all, an additional cutscene is unlocked at the end of the game. It's totally worth it! They're not that hard to collect - consult a guide if you need it.

The game is heavily based on colors and music, I recommend that you disable the night mode on your display (if you use it) to experience the colors without any alterations. And also use a good headset.

The difficulty level is low and the game is quite forgiving with mistakes. It took me 5 hours to finish it (plus 4 hours to get the remaining achievements). That said, I recommend that you put your smartphone away and take some time to enjoy this game free from distractions, it will be worth it. :)
