I get to say "So long, and thanks for all the fish," every time I leave a lobby and it makes perfect sense.

Reus 2 to Reus 1 is what AC2 is to AC1. Only in a niche strategy game format.
Everything that made the original great but expended upon and improved. This is how you do a sequel.

Early Access Review
**Steam Review for Valheim**

As an elderly war veteran, life has shown me both its most brutal and its most beautiful sides. These days, finding peace and relaxation is my primary goal, and Valheim has become a surprising sanctuary. My sons introduced me to this game, and it's now something we enjoy together, bridging generations in an unexpected way.

Valheim’s serene landscapes, from the whispering forests to the tranquil rivers, offer a stark contrast to the chaos I once knew. The act of building our Viking settlement with my sons is more than just a game; it’s a therapeutic experience that reminds me of the camaraderie and teamwork I once relied on in the field.

The simplicity of chopping wood, gathering resources, and crafting tools has a meditative quality. Each task, no matter how small, brings a sense of accomplishment and calm. The game’s soundtrack, with its soothing melodies, often lulls me into a state of relaxation, helping me forget the aches and pains of old age.

Fighting off creatures and exploring the world with my sons brings back the feeling of adventure I used to chase, but in a safe, controlled environment. It’s a new kind of mission, where the stakes are joy and laughter instead of survival. The bond we’ve strengthened through this game is invaluable, giving us shared stories and moments that transcend the screen.

Valheim is more than just a game; it’s a balm for my soul. It offers me a chance to relax, to build, and to connect with my family in a way I never expected. For an old soldier like me, it’s a perfect escape and a wonderful reminder of the beauty that life still holds.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, purpose, and the joy of shared experiences.

Hotline Miami level of gameplay with Lisa level of plot.
The game itself reminds me of Dead Cells infused with Gunpoint, mixed with Super House of Dead Ninjas somewhere in there.
Enough rambling. This is a good game, go play it.

“We all lose things. Our pasts... our friends... our minds. But, we keep going. Keep fixing ourselves when we break. We may never be... perfect. But we can get... close enough.

It's been 7 years since Krieg's BL2 reveal trailer and the release of this DLC. You can go on any gaming news outlet's YouTube Channel and see comments of people expressing their hopes for Krieg receiving more attention in BL3. It's been 7 years and those YouTube comments got what they asked for.

I have to admit, when I read the bad reviews, I didn't know what to expect. But I'm a sucker for anything tear-jerkingly tragic, and Krieg's backstory is exactly that, so I knew I had to give it a try.

To my surprise, I found exactly what I hoped for, and much much more. It was funny, charming, a bit tragic, interesting, thought-provoking, and above all, it was very Borderlands-like. (Something the recent game strays away from more and more, sadly.)

Granted, some of the mission can be reduced to "Go there, kill them, bring [thing] back.", but those who complain miss the point! Those missions are just a device to push through the story! I remember first watching 'A Meat Bicycle Built For Two' when it came out, I was so moved. And now, we finally have the complete story! And all people can focus on is how some of the side missions are tedious? Did you expect every side mission to have the production value of a quest part of the main story?

All in all, Krieg's loss of Maya, the catalyst that made Krieg what he is (and ultimately every psycho you ever fought in the franchise), sane Krieg's struggle with his insane self. All of those points where addressed to my fullest satisfaction, and hopefully yours too.

P.S.
There is a side mission referencing Plato's cave allegory! Like honestly what else could you want!

I was out on the West Coast, tryin' to make a
buck
And things didn't work out, I was down on my luck
Got tired a-roamin' and bummin' around
So I started thumbin' back East, toward my home town.
Made a lot of miles, the first two days
And I figured I'd be home in week, if my luck held out this way
But, the third night I got stranded, way out of town
At a cold, lonely crossroads, rain was pourin' down.
I was hungry and freezin', done caught a chill
When the lights of a big semi topped the hill Lord, I sure was glad to hear them air brakes come on
And I climbed in that cab, where I knew it'd be warm.
At the wheel sit a big man, he weighed about two-ten
He stuck out his hand and said with a grin
"Big Joe's the name", I told him mine
And he said: "The name of my rig is Phantom 309."
I asked him why he called his rig such a name
He said: "Son, this old Mack can put 'em all to shame
There ain't a driver, or a rig, a-runnin' any line
Ain't seen nothin' but taillights from Phantom 309."
Well, we rode and talked the better part of the night
When the lights of a truck stop came in sight
He said: "I'm sorry son, this is as far as you go
'Cause, I gotta make a turn, just on up the road."
Well, he tossed me a dime as he pulled her in low
And said: "Have yourself a cup on old Big Joe."
When Joe and his rig roared out in the night
In nothin' flat, he was clean out of sight.
Well, I went inside and ordered me a cup
Told the waiter Big Joe was settin' me up
Aw!, you coulda heard a pin drop, it got deathly quiet
And the waiter's face turned kinda white.
Well, did I say something wrong? I said with a halfway grin
He said: "Naw, this happens every now and then
Ever' driver in here knows Big Joe
But son, let me tell you what happened about ten years ago.
At the crossroads tonight, where you flagged him down
There was a bus load of kids, comin' from town
And they were right in the middle, when Big Joe topped the hill
It could have been slaughter, but he turned his wheel.
Well, Joe lost control, went into a skid A
nd gave his life to save that bunch-a kids
And there at that crossroads, was the end of the line
For Big Joe and Phantom 309
But, every now and then, some hiker'll come by
And like you, Big Joe'll give 'em a ride
Here, have another cup and forget about the dime
Keep it as a souvenir, from Big Joe and Phantom 309!"

It's a fine game. Better with a steering wheel, but could play without. Recommended to anyone who appreciates heavy duty transportation.
