It was fun for awhlle, but having a hard time getting together the energy to go for a completionist run.

Great little topdown strategy sim. Fairly unique game. Think of the Creep in Starcraft as it's own race and pit it against a largely Terran defender (which is you). That gives you a fairly terrrible idea what the game (isn') like.
ccupies it's own niche. Sometimes very challenging, but has unexpectedly satisfying gameplay. Hours can pass in seeming minutes when heavily engaged with a stubborn level. Would recommend for strategy diehards for producing intense ADHD behavior.

It's still being supported and actively expanded by the developer, which is always nice. The latest expansion pack with the Rescue Team is still a mystery to me. I haven't explored all the content, or discovered the storyline reasons for each character's presence. But I expect good, high quality content, which is what I've received with this game so far.

My only issue with this game is that it's STILL buggy as hell. It WILL regularly crash on you and/or devour your saves and leave you with only a fading memory of those 11 floors you and your buddy put in on Easy mode, escaping death by a fingernail's breadth. Then *POOF* the game takes a crap on you. This WILL happen. I personally think the game is worth putting up with this stuff, but I can see why it would put some people off.

All this being said, this game has many hours of fun dungeon delving for you to enjoy. The randomization is sometimes cruel, but overall the game is reasonably well balanced. Some characters are quantitatively better than others, pure and simple. But there's enough variation in the character skills to make trying each one out something you'll want to try. Especially with the expansion content, there's significantly altered mechanics.

Finally, PLEASE play this game in multiplayer a couple times. It's a fantastic experience that you won't forget. You and up to 3 friends will be pitted against the dungeon together, which is what friends are all about. When you do this, I recommend that you learn how to manually back up your own saves. It's just too painful to lose a game to a corrupt save, or a de-sync glitch, or any number of other things. Just don't use it to cheat, please.

This game is one of my top five favorite plays right now. I recommend you try it too!

Highly recommended. Played this game all the way through and enjoyed every minute of it. Wish more games were like this one.

Best game on Steam so far. Incredible value. Worth every dollar.
