Hey there,
As you bought the game on Steam, Steam is required to launch it. If you buy one of our games from Uplay alone, then you would not require Steam.

Like, why the hell is this implemented in such way? I'm practically buying cd-key for Uplay which I have to activate for it's own account and without it my Steam copy of the game is useless.
Instead of forcing Steam users to mess with both launchers, Uplay and it's games can actually grow in popularity by letting players to let go off Steam.
Adjusted behavior of the Root Heart in Ward Prime to default to teleporting to the final fight after failing the encounter.
Turned off collision on the shield props on the ground to prevent boss/players from getting hung up in the Brudvaak fight.
Added small collision blocker in the Ixillis arena to smooth out the extension of the wood floor to match where the broken posts are.
Lighting optimization in Reactor Room.
It is however on the shorter side, story wise, but makes it up in charm and game play. I'll admit it took me and my girlfriend only 6 hours to gain 100% completion in the game.
Not willing to play the campaign for a second time? The multiplayer mini-games are quite entertaining. Mind you that if you're not leaning to the casual side of gaming as much as is required to enjoy copious amounts of hours in the mini-games it is a great time killer, especially if you have a friend near by, if you're waiting for something else to happen (such as a Steam game updating or downloading)
My only complaint is that there are a few areas where you can clip and fall through the map if not careful enough. The camera in this game is also not too perfect, but manageable.
My final rating: 9/10.
