Very absurd and charming little game set in Yorkshire. Had a great time playing it over Discord with a friend and spotting a lot of the silly English references. Definitely recommend playing it with a controller & having the dialect feature on for extra immersion.

This is probably one of my favourite games I've ever played. I love the art style, the story, the vessels and my favourite route I've done so far was so, so, SO worth it. Please play this game.

Beautiful art direction, audio design and atmosphere is on point. Very pleasing to look at, but even for a visual novel, it seems a little lacking at the moment. Recommending it with the caveat of: don't buy it full price and as long as you're aware that it's on the shorter side.

I wish there was an option to have a "mixed" response rather than a "do you recommend this game? yes or no" function that Steam has. Normally I wouldn't mind the binary recommendation system, but for Gone Home, I do wish it was there.

I enjoyed it to an extent; the story of Sam and Lonnie was poignant, and I liked finding the hidden compartments and rooms etc.

But I was also hoping the game would be longer. I completed it in just over an hour, and it wasn't as atmospheric as I thought it would be and ultimately that's left me disappointed.

For the purpose of this review, I would say yes - I do recommend Gone Home, but with the caveat of waiting until it's on sale: either here or on Humble Bundle.

I wanted to recommend it because on the whole it is a good game. However, it's simply just not optimized for anything later than Windows 7, and even with the fixes I found it was sometimes crashing every 5 minutes or so.

I grabbed this game during a Humble Bundle sale a couple of days back since I used to play it on my phone to kill time during school. Honestly just as fun as I remembered. Go destroy humanity with a disease called Memes,
