It's mostly good. Game mechanics, quality of life features in the world, and wide range of monsters; all fantastic. Honestly wanted to not stop because of the monster range. Balance is just okay, but forgiveable. There's no guide to most features so check out the forums.

Story and writing though are terrible. Overall story isn't interesting, and feels like it doesn't fit or matter. The writing in general made me want to quit so many times because it really is bad. It's a testament to how good the gameplay is, because that's why I recommend despite the writing.

It's absolutely amazing. A throwback to a long gone era while also being uniquely its own. Feels not like what if those old RPGs were made with modern production value, but what if modern sensibilities made a game for that era.

"Final Edition" isn't final or complete at all. The game contains a number of unfinished parts, and even tells you once you hit a wall that it's given all you're going to get from it. And the bits that are finished are poorly executed, so not even worth dealing with.

It's too early for even early access; there's nothing here really. Presentation is good, and has the potential to do something, but what's there now is too bare bones and with no legs. Wait a couple of chapter updates and it might have content to draw you in. Until then, no.

Ignoring how short it is, the story is plain terrible. It doesn't even try to make sense, and the characters are so all over the place you want each interaction to end far sooner than it does (which is odd considering how short it is already).

If it were free I'd recommend, but for a price, it's incredibly short, quite boring, and the art, while decent, isn't varied enough for moments. It's the barest minimum to consider done, but not good.

It's a rock solid story with an awesome group of characters that are charming and play off each other well. The gameplay is also well balanced, and will feel like just the right challenge every step of the way. Plus the world itself is fun to just walk around in.

....you might be unhappy if you played the GameCube original, but otherwise still a good game.

The way it treats the premise is a little on the nose, but still a really cute story overall, and the characters are charming in presentation, so easy to enjoy and bear with the long-winded parts.

I wanted to like it, and the general story isn't bad. The dialogue for encounters is ridiculous, and so funny in how ridiculous it is that the scenes lost enjoyment. Makes me look forward to future visual novels in that they will learn and get it right, but on its own this story doesn't feel ultimately satisfying.

So many choices with a nice variety of options. Also generally good sci-fi with lots of room for fun detail.
