The crockpot dinner was good, in fact, so good I had seconds. 10/10, Todays dinner was a chicken taco. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the warm bread reminded me of a warm summer day. A tear rolls down my cheek as I remember a summers day back when I was in elementary school. I could hear children laughing and playing, balls bouncing. One old friend showed up at my door. Something felt off. “Come play with us” “Come play with us” Come play with us” he wouldn’t stop. I got up from my chair in a panic, ready to bolt upstairs. But it was too late. Turning around in horror I see him quickly approaching me, that is the last thing I ever see.
