To say its pretty good would be an under-statement.

Its classical C&C but more modern and overall better.

And my god is the performance good.

Usually get bored of TD super fast but I keep coming back to this one.

Update after way more hours:
Game is too easy (i dont think i ever even died. all the attacks are super telegraphed with a couple seconds long animations so that even the most unskilled player gets a chance to dodge/block)
You get everything for free basically as the game showers you with all the rare monster materials, hunts are way too short, you can have the best gear within a couple hours, the focus system is meh, the seikret is just utter garbage and controls like a tank. how do you mess that up, when you already had a perfectly controllable mount (the Palamute) before? The seikret is just that but worse in every single way imaginable.
Then theres the "go afk and your seikret moves you to your targets" thing, again, utter garbage.
The palico on the other hand is just op, with its constant heals and even a revive. (A revive that doesnt use your overall lives for the hunt...)

Story was still on rails(and I mean that literally, stray to far and the game scolds you and sends you back), with way too many cutscenes, bland and boring characters, overall not interesting at all and later on i just skipped every single cutscene in the game. Again, just utter garbage that shouldnt be in a Monster Hunter game. Get rid of that ♥♥♥♥ instead of building it up further.

Performance issues and crashes still persist.

Still cant recommend and probably never will. Honestly better off playing Sunbreak / Icebourne or even the older ones like GU. They have gone way too far with streamlining this.



terrible performance, constant crashes, way too many cutscenes (those were already abysmal in world and yet they heavily expanded on them) + the game is super easy atm
