Had a great time with this, really liked the atmosphere and gameplay. I thought the last chapter was one of the most fun parts, even though it is somewhat of a deviation from the rest of the main game. 8/10

many games on here clicked with me more than I expected, and I've only tried like a third of them so far

Really fun and lengthy prologue. The movement feels good once you get used to it and the levels were satisfying to figure out. I do feel like some aerial recovery move could improve the game since there's many tight jumps that punish you like Bennett Foddy. If I wasn't so familiar with platformers I could see myself being really frustrated playing this, as the checkpoints can be pretty sparse. I also think having the different areas spread out in a large, directionless desert doesn't add much value compared to just having them as separate levels or something. It took me a long time to understand the general layout of the whole map which made it annoying to navigate. The collectible radar mechanic that was added in an update was a great improvement.

Overall, I recommend giving this a shot and I'm looking forward to the full game.

Good fun, although I wish some characters had better movement abilities. Great OST, Surface Tension Returns goes crazy
