Elex is a fantastic game. I am mad at myself for not discovering this until now. It is well worth the money. Don't be discouraged early, as the game is extremely difficult to start. Early game definitely could have used a bit of polishing. If the mobs around Edan were a bit easier to kill early on, or there was more hand holding with quests in Goliet that kept you in the city at first, I think it would significantly improve the game, because new players would be less likely to be discouraged early. At times, I found myself wondering if continuing was worth the energy, and I might've quit if it hadn't been for the cursory research I had conducted before trying the game. People said it would be like this, to keep grinding, and then the game gets good. They were right. It is possible my perception of how rewarding the game play has been is somewhat linked to the difficulty of the early game. Still, if they somehow made the early game experience go a little more smoothly, it might've might gone a long way with keeping less determined players involved.

Definitely recommend this game to anybody who is a fan of rpg's like TES and Fallout. Don't get discouraged, play until you are at least level 12-13 before you give up XD. I am level 32 and the game is still a ton of fun.
