Three servers. Crashy. No graphics, gameplay, menu, QoL or other improvements what so ever. Purely a cashgrab riding on the Star Wars IP. Yuck.

Definitely do not recommend buying this at full price at the time of writing.

-BUGGY: Full of annoying bugs and NPC behavior akin to oblivion.
-CHOICES: When you have them, they don't matter as much as they should. A lot of choices that seem logical or questions that would seem logical to ask aren't even options in the game. For example; Imagine someone was murdered in a facility full of staff, including security workers. You discover that said murder has occurred, but there is not a single dialogue option available to tell anyone in the facility that a murder has occurred in the next room. Yeah....
-ROLE PLAYING: It is impossible to do a completely evil play through due to the way crime is penalized. So you can roleplay, but only if you wanna be somewhere between neutral and chaotic good.
-CONTRABAND/SMUGGLING: The contraband system is useless, the scans some factions do to detect contraband on your ship is easy to bypass by just yeeting contraband on the floor of your ship instead of into storage. You also cannot turn in contraband to authorities even if you work for a Starfield equivalent of a police force.
-VENDORS: Even if you do decide to pick up and smuggle contraband, the vendors are so poor they can't afford to buy much from you. So then you get to travel some place else or sit in a chair and use the wait-function for as long as it takes for the vendors account balance to recover. Repeat as many times as is necessary.
This also applies to selling non-contraband loot you scavenge during exploration. Looting becomes tedious instead of fun since if you pick up too much of value its just gonna be a hassle to sell it. It doesn't take long for you to not be in need of the money anyway.
-COPY/PASTE: Unique places or events are way too few and far between when just exploring random planets. Its mostly just repeatedly looting identical buildings on different planets.
-BASE BUILDING: The base building has potential but remains too limited to be interesting for more than an hour. Placing items and decorating is made difficult by shelves that don't function as shelves etc. Oh, and if you leave your base and come back enough times you will find all of the looted decorative items you placed have half sunken through the floor or whatever surface you left them on. All of these factors and more completely erase any motivation to try and maintain a nice looking base. I'm usually a sucker for base building so I really put a lot of hours into this before finally giving up.

-The only reason I have so many hours in the game is that I realized I was well on my way to getting every achievement and got tunnel vision to force myself to do that. Otherwise I would have stopped at somewhere between 40-50hrs played which is when it really became apparent how empty the world felt and how limited your choices are. I will get my last achievement of reaching lvl 100 but the grind grew too tedious and I'm gonna wait for new content before forcing myself back in.

This game is adequate

A beautiful and story-rich MMO that doesn't force you to socialize or play with others, but gives you the option if you want to!
