This is a fine little city builder. It stands apart from most city building games by having a clearly defined win condition. So there's not building for building's sake. Instead you build the economy of the city towards one specific goal. Building a rocket ship.

In addition to that there is an underground component where you manage the exploration of a mine. The mine provides critical resources for the city above, so it's important to keep developing it. I think the mine is fine. My only complaint is that there can be a long delay between getting better tools and being able to use them in the mine, which can hold back city development. The base defense in the mine is novel, if a little tedious.

The only thing I'd really like to see is input/output rates for the various buildings and the bots. Even without that information this is a fun city builder.

I WOULD recommend this game as a "wait and see", but it's no longer in development, so don't waste your money.

If you liked the original Redout most of the skills you learned won't carry over. The driving is much tighter, and the tracks generally more narrow. The music is worse, in my opinion, mostly drum and bass, there's not really anything on top of it all. The layout of the tracks is innovative, The tracks within a set use common pieces, using blockers to change the layout of the track. It's clever, especially in making the tracks reversible but it makes it difficult to learn and memorize the tracks.

The AI is much more competent. The goals of each mode and the bonus goals can be trivially easy or frustratingly difficult. It's really inconsistent throughout the leagues. Cosmetics and vehicle upgrades are earned by scoring points in each league event, 1 point for 3rd, 2 for 2nd, 3 for 1st, and an additional point for completing a secondary goal. These upgrades are tied to the events, so if you want everything you need to come in 1st and complete the secondary goal.

Overall it's enjoyable and offers a good challenge, even if some of the challenges are arbitrarily difficult.

Most tower defense games are a snooze-fest. The only factors you have to worry about are how quickly you can kill enemies and how quickly you can make money. Luckitown has two interesting mechanics than separate it out from other tower defense games. First and most obvious, there's no money! Instead you roll a number of dice each wave, which you can use to purchase buildings, cast spells, and perform actions. You'll end up needing to balance getting more dice to roll against having effective enough defense. The other mechanic which I haven't seen a lot of is that your buildings are completely destructible. If enemies can't path to your castles, they'll attack any structures in their way until there is a path, so you need to carefully consider the placement of all your buildings (though some enemies and bosses will attack them anyway, especially later on).

The waves of enemies are broken into four groups, each one is a season (spring, summer, etc) with a boss at the end. The bosses offer a unique enough challenge that there is no one strategy that lets you fall asleep while playing this. Enemies generally progress across lanes in a straight line, but respond to obstacles, whether those are rocks, buildings, or people.

The graphics are cute, in a cute, almost retro-feeling style. The music is done in a retro style, and amusingly, all the sprites will perform their idle animation in rhythm to the music.

Do you like mining in Minecraft?
Do you like wave shooters like Left 4 Dead/Killing Floor?
If you answered yes to both, you'll probably like this game. It's got a nice community and active developers. The gameplay loop is satisfying, and the weapons are fun to use.

You're a wizard. Your goal is to kick ass. You learn spells as you go and every playthrough is a screaming ride through hell as you try to travel through realms to bully some idiot named Mordred.

Early Access Review
I spent about 15 hours being tormented by baboons and evil lobsters. Sometimes I chopped off their faces, but they still mocked me.

It's like Mafia or Werewolf, but in space and a video game. If you like hidden role games you'll probably like this. It's greatly enhanced if you play with friends over VOIP (ex. Discord), in my opinion at least. Highly recommend playing with friends at the very least, just remember not to take it too seriously.
