♥♥♥♥ feels like a heatstroke in motion but it's still really fun

haven't used it that much yet but from what i was able to see it works like actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ magic

mh became afraid of its own roots it seems like because there's no tracking, there's no hunting, it is just a pathetic boss rush game with monster hunter brand on it with invasive story.

mh used to be about slow methodical grind, sometimes having to kill something 10-15 times for a set, sometimes even more if a partbreak was particularly nasty to get, now you kill something once or twice and can make set out of it with only exception being not getting a gem or gore's feelers because he dies too quickly.


now the game is all about instant gratification and it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.

don't like microtransactions, don't like heat, don't like chip damage. it's still tekken but it's not for me dude, i want tekken 6, 5 or ttt2 with some jank removed and better netcode, then we can ball

maxed out achievements as of 0.2.11 - the game is a bizarre but wonderful fever dream, juice galaxy has somewhat of an interesting gameplay and the combat quirks aren't too obnoxious. my only real complaint is how weird flight feels especially once you max it out and get some gear pieces that increase flight stat, it's borderline uncontrolable if you want to revisit certain boss in the sky.

TL;DR - don't bother. just buy monster hunter, god eater or any other hunting game

devs sold out to soulless crypto corpo and released the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ update in years that is likely a final nail in the coffin for this game and studio, why the ♥♥♥♥ would you even take away crafting part from a hunting game? take away hunting specific monster part? i don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ get it, you absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bellends.

also they decreased the amount of weapons from +60 to like 20, restarted all the progress and only offered band aid fixes without any mention of reintroducing CRAFTING WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH A CORE MECHANIC FOR ALL RESPECTABLE HUNTING GAMES.

the cherry on top of this cake filled with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and greed is that they've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up behaviours of behemoths, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up optimalization which was poor already and backtracked on adding a bow. i will be geniunely surprised if i don't see EOS announcement within next 3 months

no but like seriously hades 2 is really good but it has some glaring flaws like stunlock being absurdly strong, inability to reset the run without suicide and despite now being able to defeat chronos with ease every other run, he is definitely overtuned. while i do understand the intent behind it, i think it's still a dookie way to go about it. also slightly mixed on arcanas and insight system.
also ahit like eris debuff and nemesis events are kinda ass, wish we got an option to snitch on nemesis to make her ♥♥♥♥ off or prevent wris from appearing thru some cauldron sheningans

that being said thr story is good, chronos is a d1 hater antag, the new designs are mostly really good and the magicka system added to combat is much more interesting than the red shards in hades 1.

potentially we have next year's goty on our hands
