Supergiant hits another home run with Hades 2. It retains all the things what made the first game brilliant while switching things up just enough to make it feel fresh. The most immediately apparent change for players of the first title is that combat is more deliberate with a small cooldown on dashing -- something that comes as a welcome change to those with a sore thumb after Zag's dash spam -- but everything still feels as responsive as ever. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

A bit of a steep skill curve initially, but when the muscle memory kicks in, a very enjoyable, high-paced side-scroller roguelite.

Boatloads of replay value for low cost! I still love the original Isaac, even if it's slightly inferior to the newer Rebirth version.
