As of writing this review I have finished three full games through every era. And while I do recommend the game as it currently is, there are some annoyances.

Mainly the UI needs an overhaul: My main gripe is that mouseovers almost never shows the information I’m looking for. It’s also difficult to find keyboard shortcuts for different actions. (The previous games had the keyboard shortcuts in parentheses.)

Still fun though, and I’ll keep playing.

Shader cache building on first launch takes a literal eternity.

Other than that, runs perfectly using latest graphics drivers.

But YMMV, apparently.
