The game is good, but you need to play it on HARD mode to enjoy it. Normal mode is too easy. You don't even need to learn the Bosses attack patterns, simple button mashing does the job. It's not only counter productive but it will ruin your experience. After coming from Blasphemous and Hollow Knight, I completed 40% of the map without dying once in this game. Then I felt playing this way is meaningless, I have to higher the difficulty level. Sadly the HARD and NIGHTMARE modes are locked until you finished the game on NORMAL. But there is a way around, a cheat code. You have to change your profile name from the default MIRIAM to NIGHTMARE (all capital letters) at the beginning of the game. Then you will find all difficulties are unlocked from the start.

If you wanna play dark souls, but harder than dark souls where most enemies will kill you in 1 shot. Then this game is for you.

Don't listen to other reviewers. It's a good DLC. People gave it negative reviews because it is nothing like the main game, or even Far Cry. But that doesn't mean that the DLC is bad. It's a Painkiller or Doom style simple shooter where you shoot Zombies with shotgun (mostly). The levels are small, takes mostly 8 to 10 minutes to finish. Some of the levels even have a boss at the end. After completing each level, the Score-attack / Challenge mode unlocks. This adds replay value.

The DLC is good for what it is. Know it before you buy it. If you buy this DLC expecting a Far Cry like open world stealth and Outpost-capturing experience, this is not. But if you want a Painkiller or Doom style liner zombie shooter, this is it.

Good & nice gamme

I know this game is very popular and has a serious fan base but i found its mechanics unbalanced. Especially in co-op, in which most players play this game. If one player dies, he re-spawns in a nearby save point with FULL HEALTH but the boss or other enemie's health don't replenish. So you can comeback again & again where you left and do a little bit of more damage each time to the boss and still be a PROUD winner in the end. So - no matter how inept player you are, you can still succeed, it's a matter of time, actually.

Top down. Hack and Slash. Singleplayer only. Choice Matters. Multiple endings. Skill Tree. Combat: Attack, Dodge, Block & Counter Attack, Sword skills.

If you like action-shooter platformers like Contra or Metal Slug, this game is a gem. It will feel kinda difficult at first but it's fair and doable.

This game is identical to Black Flag with different settings and story (linked to Black Flag). If you like Black Flag, you will like it as well. If you have't played Black Flag, go play that first.
