Full disclosure: I got access to Resonite a week early.

Right now, it's Neos without any crypto junk, better lighting, and a new scripting system that has backwards compatibility with Neos scripting for imported content only. Most of the UI is currently imported from Neos, but now that the team isn't blocked from working on it because of legal issues, it is being actively worked on.

In my totally unbiased opinion, it's a good game.

It's a great tech demo of Improbable's server tech. Not much else.

For a free game built in 7 months, it's really good. SteamVR support was left in by accident, but it works better than expected in VR minus the usual UI/camera issues for non VR UE4 games.

Got my Gabe Gear. Best purchase of the year.

Go use Resonite, Neos is now a grift. The actual developers have ownership of the code, but the people in charge of Neos now are trying to replace it with a crypto filled Unreal asset flip.

I received the game for free since I was in closed tests before EA bought the game/developers. If people actually played it and it was free for everyone, it could have been great.

It was the best social mirror simulator ever. The developers are ignoring the in game content created to crash the client, and have decided to add EAC to stop the basic QoL enhancements and fixes for long standing bugs that mods have provided for years.
