A cute incremental/clicker game, but there's not much in terms of content/mechanics or a sense of progression to keep things interesting after unlocking every plant and animal (perhaps 40 minutes in). The best clicker games (see: Universal Paperclips) tend to have plateaus and then dramatic shifts in scale after completing certain criteria. Plantera feels more like an aimless linear progression.

Chill little puzzle game that plays sort of like a Minesweeper/Picross hybrid.

A fun sandbox that gets old relatively quickly. Since there's little meaningful progression in terms of equipment, enemies, or mission structure (and the story isn't good for much beyond a flimsy excuse to blow things up), you've really seen all the game has to offer after a handful of hours. Of course, it's still fun to drive around and collect goodies, but I think other games can offer more interesting twists on that gameplay loop at this point.

Panau's copy/pasted towns and military bases could stand to be a little denser – unfortunately you'll spend too much time slowly driving and awkwardly grappling up mountain faces in hopes of getting to the next interesting locale.

Controls are a little stiff and have that console-port feel. Tends to crash unless you turn off some of the higher-end graphics options. Still worth checking out for a little while, though.

This game is a such a mixed bag - its three main categories of levels (Ambient, Sentient, and Force) differ immensely in quality.

The Ambient levels strike an almost-perfect balance between relaxing and strategic gameplay, and show off the game's systems at their finest - the Impasse levels, in particular, require a surprising degree of forethought in anticipating chain reactions between cells.

The Sentient levels are just kind of... there. There's nothing particularly bad about them, but they're not interesting - the same strategy of growing as quickly as possible before enemy cells can catch up is generally effective regardless of enemy type. I was relieved that there were less of these stages than the other two main categories, as Osmos' gameplay doesn't seem particularly well suited to competitive action and there wasn't much memorable about them.

The Force levels are just seriously terrible. None of the three categories is enjoyable to play, unless perhaps you have a burning passion for orbital physics and waiting ages for cells to slowly drift into place. I'm not ashamed to say that I didn't finish these.

Overall, though, I enjoyed my time with it and think that it's worth playing for the Ambient stages alone.

Decent point-and-click adventure game with a surprisingly catchy soundtrack.

If you've ever wanted to play a Katamari game, I highly recommend that you do so. They're full of charm, great visual design & music, and a unique, intuitive control scheme.

If, on the other hand, you would like to play a game which has none of those things, this may be right up your alley.

The worst exploration / walking simulator game I've played. Better hope that you enjoy slowly plodding through some bland hillsides for an hour.
While there's some semblance of a story, it's too vague and frankly uninteresting to leave much of an impression.

That said, one part where you walk through some caves is kinda pretty. Watch that on YouTube instead.
