Having spent a great deal of hours in Grand Ages: Rome which I loved every second of, I was super excited to learn that Grand Ages: Medieval would be released, so it was an insta-buy for me, thinking it would be a sequel.

However, I have only played it 1.2 hours, which is all I could put up with it. What. a. letdown. compared to Grand Ages: Rome. It's incredibly bland and uninteresting. Build cities, set up trade, gather ressources, rinse and repeat.

I do not recall seeing this part of "ABOUT THIS GAME" on Steam back in the day, when I bought it:
""Grand Ages: Medieval" is a larger scale, real-time empire simulation game combining elements of trade, expansion and exploration with a heavy focus on economical domination."

Had I read that, I would never have bought the game.

Hands down I think this is the best Far Cry game Ubisoft has ever released. I have played 3, Blood Dragon, 4, some of 5, a little bit of 6 and Primal and there's something incredibly fascinating about this setting.

Compared to the other Far Cry games I've played, I actually feel vulnerable in this game - but cave bears, sabertooth tigers, cave lions, wolves and other predators waiting to ambush you at night.

I also LOVE that there are no guns and no cars. All you have is a club, a bow, a spear, fire, throwing knives, bee hives, berserk shards and bait to tame wild animals to be your combat pets. Compared to rocket launchers, flame throwers and blazing machine guns, this is a terrifying experience and a terrifyingly good one.

First of all - if you're having problems with the online connection - OPEN YOUR PORTS. Yes, I know it's 2020 and port forwarding is an age old dinosaur by now, but hey, very fitting for the year.
Regardless, you MUST open your ports in order to play online.

Otherwise, it's Uno, love it.
I played a legendary game with a friend last night, 2v2 with Flip DLC. We laughed and cried as our opponents several times had to pick up 20 cards, when we put down the "your opponent must pick up cards, until they get a card of your choice of colour". It was brutal, but hilarious.

There are quite a few rules you may or may not have played with if you've ever played the physical card game - rules I've never even known about.
They will alter gameplay rather radically, and I have heard they're the reason for "Uno: The Movie" happening too. The Flip DLC also alters gameplay by including brand new cards, less radically, but still really fun.

Great game, get it on sale - only one person has to own the Flip DLC for all to play it, but at the Ultimate Edition sale price, just get the whole package.

Don't forget to open your ports! Losing your friends will happen automatically <3
