Eh, devs got greedy, decided they weren't making enough money so they're not going to release the game free to play as was promised when we bought the early access version. They want even more money to buy expansions from now on. Already trying to ding you for 15 bucks each for a couple of quests and some cosmetics.

Harvest Moon by any other name...Has all the requisite harvesting, mining, got some monsters to fight, some ladies or gentlemen to woo. It's a good game, it's just not super unique.

Don't bother, buggy as heck. They released the game early access, got as much money as they could and said 'Oh well, we didn't get paid enough, we're just not finishing this.' and released a patch claiming to bring it up to a 'Finished' version. This isn't anywhere near finished. I don't buy any DoubleFine games anymore unless they're part of a bundle elsewhere because of this bait-and-switch. So disappointing from a company I've admired over the years.

Fun enough 'clicker' style game, funny unlock names, engaging enough to keep me playing for a while. However, their save files are apparently made of tissue paper. If you have a crash while the game is running it can corrupt your save game, or apparently prevent you from playing any of the 'events' such as time travel. I've run into this myself, where I sit at an infinite loading screen waiting for something to happen. If you report it to the devs their standard response is that you cheated and changed your system clock, and there's nothing they can do to help. You could back up your save game regularly to keep this from happening, but you're better off picking a more robust clicker genre game to play instead.

Bright colorful graphics, interesting creatures, nice environments. It is a loooooooong walk to get from your home base out to where you might meet something different, with no easy way to return home. Inventory management can be a nightmare as well, with a 4 slot limit, and (so far) no way to upgrade how many different things you can hold.
