I like cats and I like clicking so this is a good fit for me... It's a good game to play in bursts and to leave in the background to farm. I'd like to see better steam deck support in the future

I wake up, I check how much exp miss, I notice that I consumed all the ingots, switch to extraction for another day, then go back to build exp. Loop all this of every skill.

Addicted, 42 hours on Steam, but over a year of playthrough mostly via phone, and still a lot to do.

Just think about it, you open up the game, say "Well, I'm going to do a fast run and die early", and then it became your most difficult game where you are going to cry until the last second of the end of the stage. Just love it.

Beautiful game, a design that every time gets your heart, and the soundtrack follow you for the time you are in the game.

Early Access Review
tl;dr: Excellent game that expands on Super Hexagon's basic concepts and mechanics, yet still feels like a fresh new experience. A little bit rough around the edges, but that's Early Access for you.

I have played Super Hexagon both on PC and mobile devices in the past and it got me hooked. Ever since then, I've always wanted something more, and Open Hexagon definitely hits the spot.

While the first few levels do not innovate much in terms of mechanics compared to Super Hexagon, things start ramping up and getting wild quite quickly - it doesn't take long to get introduced to swap mechanics like the 180 degrees swap or rotating walls. Some levels are also completely unique, as an example the "Commando" level get progressively harder by incrementing the number of polygon sides, rather than the speed of the walls.

My favorite so far is "Reppaws", which is simple in concept (alternating between rotating and non-rotating half circles), yet has a really addicting "flow" -- especially thanks to the swap mechanic.

The other really interesting aspect of the game is its support for custom levels. I have yet to try creating one, but I skimmed through some of the game files and the documentation page on the Open Hexagon website and it seems really approachable, more so if you have some experience with programming languages.

The only negative aspect I can think of right now is "lack of polish". The menu interface and navigation could be significantly improved, and sometimes it is annoying to switch to the exact level you want to play as there is no search bar or anything like that.

Another nice thing to have would be an online leaderboard directly in-game. As far as I know it is in development, but at the moment the community is keeping track of records with videos and custom leaderboards. While not a perfect solution, it is a good workaround until they get implemented.

Nevertheless, definitely recommended! Some of the best $5 you can spend.

I still played a little of this game, but I'm loving already so much.

I would like to play even the oldest one, but of the second game seems there is no translation patch at the moment.
I hope it come soon.

If u like Xanxia / Wuxia genre, then is the right game.
From the beginning, it already show you a beautfiul environment where u can run freely.
I love all the characters how they are made, they just look how I would imagine them while reading all those novels.

Really hope to see more product like this one, at least in english.

Early Access Review
I just played an hour so far, but I can already tell some things about this game. ( I'm playing with xBox 360 controller )

The controls are really simple, and it's fast to get used to them and doing amazing combo.
Movements are really smooth, animations are really good to see and, the graphic in general, is a joy for eyes.

As an Early Access game, it still has some bugs that needs to be fixed (for example, somehow I got stucked into a subway while rolling, and again somehow I got to free me, but for some seconds the character without doing nothing... )

So, now, I'm can't wait to see what they are going to add, because the game, as now, is already really good.
