Did you play this game only once and went "huh, neat"? Then I implore you to play it through again. You have very likely not seen anything this game has to offer, by far. There are multiple paths you can take and they lead to entirely new areas. There's secrets and optional areas everywhere. You can easily mess up in some places and miss something cool.

It's clear that the developers and artists involved put a ton of time and effort into making all of this, and it's insane to think just how much content is not going to be seen by most people, to the point where it's that much more enjoyable when you discover something new.

I'm on my fourth playthrough now and I am absolutely certain there is still stuff I missed. And while you can skip the cutscenes on subsequent playthroughs, they are just that good enough that I will mostly keep watching them anyway.

Fantastic job, devs. Can't wait to see where the rest of the plot will take us (or possibly... have already taken us?)

Damn, I was hooked from the start and I'm not even a big card player. This game has such depth and the soundtrack makes my spine chill (in a good way).

Very good, very cute, very silly, and very sad. A well-executed rollercoaster.

Great program for pixel art. Contains a good amount of features that I do not see any other pixel art program use. Nice presets for various consoles. Features to draw sprites with consideration for 3D (which are useful for stuff like 3DS or VR). Even things like advanced dither pattern drawing, custom pixel drawing formulae, palette generation, darkening/brigtening entire sections while respecting the palette, animation (with GIF and video frame export), etc.

This is just a quick overview but there's way more that just make this an excellent program for even someone like me who's not great at pixel art. I get very nice results.

Absolute classic. Eight different plots, all taking place in different times and places, each of them doing something just a little different from the other. One story is based all on combat, as you're a fighter in the ring. Another story features almost no combat at all, and is more of an Alien-style spaceship sci-fi horror game where you have to do your best to stay hidden. And yet another takes place in the Wild West, focusing on a balance of combat and puzzle mechanics as you find the best ways to set traps in town to beat the bad guys... And then there's the prehistoric story, where no one talks in words at all and everything is very slapstick.

The combat system is a little more complex than just spamming attack, too - you have to move around on the battlefield and pick the most effective attacks that hit only some parts of the area around you. Not bad when you consider how old the original game is.

There's a ton of charm to the original SNES game that translates perfectly and faithfully in this remake. Plus we finally get the game in English! Definitely recommended.

Sometimes, when I'm without my Switch, I start this version up and I'm reminded how far the developers have come from the early releases of Groove Coaster.

PC users are stuck with this lacking version: a long loading screen, no characters, limited avatars and songs, occasional timing desyncs, only basic calibration settings, no separation between voice and menu language, basically none of the improvements the Switch version gets to enjoy.

I seriously wish they would just port Wai Wai Party to PC already. It would, for me, potentially become a definitive version I could play in 4K on a rotated monitor. But before that happens (unlikely, I know), I'd recommend the Switch version instead. This one is all but abandoned.

This is a really quirky, silly game with fun gameplay and some eerie secrets. Well worth playing. The game even goes as to have mod support; something I definitely didn't expect.
