You know, I clicked this thing fully expecting anything but adorable kittens. Then as I saw the first kitten and heard the soothing music, I waited for the inevitable jumpscare or gore or other shock humor. As the images slowly continued I actively fought against the tone of the flash, succumbing to my paranoia and refusing to allow myself to be lulled into a false sense of security before getting pranked. As time dragged slowly onward and the kittens came one after another, I could no longer bear the madness of the anticipation. Desperate to discover the joke, I downloaded the flash, decompiled it, ripped it apart, and searched every element it contained, manically and frantically looking for the twist that I was sure to come. But that was the twist. This file is completely innocent. It's exactly what it claims to be: some soothing and adorable kittens. The realization that I've become paranoid, wary, and jaded over the years? My current mental state and worldview? That's the real joke.
