Warframe's flaws include its in-cohesive narrative, the new player experience, disconnected systems and some bosses that fall firmly in the undying bullet sponge category. The newest quests are well executed, but some of the characters that pop up aren't introduced to the player very well.

That said, the core game play loop is solid. Blasting through the endless maps with an endless arsenal of unique weapons rarely gets old. The community is generally great and welcoming of new players. For monetization, you only need to spend money if you want certain cosmetics, specifically the Tennogen ones. Everything else can be unlocked through playing and trading.

In short, the game's great and outdoes most $60 games despite being truly free to play.
