This game is an absolute gem and honestly puts alot of AAA / AAA live service games to shame.

I will start with personal cons which are most likely going to change eventually.
a) Servers are overloaded, but that is sort of expected.
b) Alot of people have issues with AMD gpu's , luckily my issues got fixed with turning off AA and illumination, but apparently doesnt work for everyone.
c) Occasional crashes, but judging from what i heard apart from my GPU issues i've been on the luckier side.


Pros in no particular order
a)Devs are very active and even though first few days were messy, they worked alot of overtime to get things working.

b)Gameplay is just super fun , smooth and generally feels very very polished. One thing i appreciate in the gameplay/mission department is the fact that side objectives on map actually feel thought about and generally have purpose, so many times i personally feel like actually going for them intstead of skipping them. All in all feels like devs actually think about things instead of throwing ideas on wall and see.

c) This one is probably the biggest for me, but the game has fantastic immersion.
You really feel like you are in the grand crusade, from the small things like seeing your ship shoot orbital strikes you call in, explosion shockwaves having snowy particles in the blast when playing on snow maps. To having your armor covered in blood,snow,whatever you are dealing with. The graphics are very pretty, especially when some biomes get weather periods.

d)Progression is pretty decent aswell, with ability to find cash shop currency in maps. Also as of time of writing, the mtx store is fairly decently valued. 10 Bucks lets you buy several skins. Only gripe i have is that i wish they were dyable.

All in all , fantastic game whether solo or not, but insanely good when playing with friends.
If it wasnt for the queues , its a nobrainer buy, but still doesnt change the fact that the game is worth every penny.

You knew there is a monkey paw coming when you saw all the QoL / user friendly changes before release.

Lightfall is a filler expansion. A bad one, almost feels like we are back to the early days of destiny 2 dlcs.

New zone feels incredibly dead with alot of asset re-uses from previous content.
Story is pretty rough, generally i always felt that writing is usually better in seasons (except the last two that is), but the new characters/osiris are pretty hard to listen to.
Strand is only fun in story missions where you have no cooldowns on grapple, once you get it its heavily nerfed and underwhelming.

Gameplay wise, its the usual destiny stuff, you dont need to buy this expansion to get that feeling, get the season instead.

Absolutely love this game.
The size of the game is very small, so you can leave it installed and not worry about space if you decide to take break.
All classes have their own playstyle and are fun. Community is pretty good too.
Difficulty varies from chill to pretty challenging.

And best of all, the game can be played either in small bursts, or "ill play few games" only to realize its 3am, but you didnt notice because the crew was fun.

Cons : carpal tunnel from cheer spamming

Fun and simple dungeon crawler, exploring dungeons and overall combat is fun, once you are done you can easily return to a town to identify gear, buy skills, maybe form a group and jump right back in.

Very fun, cant wait to see for the future roadmap

The devs made a mistake,they got carried away and instead of a game they made a time travel machine.

Now it makes sense why Bungo kept complaining about Activision.
They were actually forcing them to work on things.

Positive things :
Art team carries the expansion as usual. Story was okay, nothing breathtaking.
New subclasses are kinda fun atleast in pve.

Sad things:
Sunsetting, no new maps for pvp, with sunsetting there is so little amount of weapons

As a fan of the series, i was hugely anticipating this game,but slightly worried about the open world.

Simply put, if you loved Metro games, you will love this one aswell.
With "open world",game feels like a love child of Metro and Stalker series.

Art team really outdone themselves yet again, the land truly looks gorgeous,and underground bits remain true to what fans had in previous games.
Day/night and weather cycles also look extremely gorgeous.
NPC animations also look more polished compared to previous games id say.

I was skeptical about story at first , considering i read the books, but it turned out to be pretty nice in the end. Granted i was expecting a little more at the end.

Gameplay is pretty standard, and salvaging adds more life to it,if you only follow "main path" , materials tend to be kind of scarce and by the end i had to decide which ammo to make/and how many medkits ill need for individual parts.

For the negatives, unfortunately yet again it is sound.
Most of the effects seem kind of lack luster, gun sounds have slightly improved though.
Voice acting wise(EN), well, on same level as previous games i suppose.

And lastly AI. , npcs are either dumb as hell, or radiation gave them xray eyes since they seem to detect you through walls sometimes.

Overall, Metro Exodus is a wonderful game with a team who put heart and soul into it.
Once they re-add it on steam, its an insta buy without questions asked.

This game made me consider a lobotomy so i can replay it again without knowing anything and experiencing the emotional rollercoaster once again

EDIT NOTE: tl;dr this game is a "RPG" looter shooter game, Think of diablo farming, this is not a realistic shooter,most people seem to be disappointed/angry at the fact they didnt research what is the game about.


Picked this game upon reading some positive reviews and people talking about it again on some streams.

So far 20 hours in, atmospheric,even though there was a downgrade from E3 the graphics still look good,loving snow storms.

Dark zones are pretty fun at low level bracket,and you can also have some fun with random players. People not afraid to backstab you aswell.
Also you get the thrill of extracting several upgrades and see the bad guys coming your way.

Edit : this part was mentioned since i saw many people asking if its not too late to start playing.


I'd go in depths but you probably know what the game is about by now, I recommend.

If you are learning russian , i recommend this game 10/10,quite handy.
