Great game and reasonable evolution from FS22. Graphics are an improvement, lighting got more interesting and ground deformation evolved.
All of these points can evolve even further and looking at other games released in 2024, graphics could definitely improve and Giants could start investing resources into something called "optimization" so that we can experience a concept called "FPS".

All in all, I'm excited for the community creating new mods and the game moving forward.

With tears in my eyes this review is being written, though I'm also hungry for Kentucky's Fried Chicken.

The intro cinematic offers the most beautiful depiction of a dragon ever shown to mankind, a true artistic spectacle. Meanwhile, Vesperbrot asks philosophical questions that not even Sokrates himself thought of.

The task is to get into Vesper's brain by doing some definitely not incoherent tasks.
We are once again in a mine and have to wait for a mine cart filled with dynamite to traverse the railroad system that seems to be longer and more complex than anything Transport Tycoon, Cities Skylines and Train Sim World have to offer. As Krieg from Borlderlands 2 would say: „I’M THE CONDUCTOR OF THE POOP TRAIN!“ – except we’re not, we just wait fort the mine cart to arrive so we can finally blow ourselves up with it and put an end to this.

After that, we are in her head, destroying all of her red flags. Sadly even after doing so, she continues her unhinged and incoherent yapping.

Vesperbrot tells us the most edgy joke ever to be told by a narrator and then proceeds to fall into a deep, manic depression which, obviously, leads us to pause our adventure and search for a musical instrument, so she can participate in her prescribed musical group therapy session. In another manic episode she says:

„Wyverns? More like „why-not-die-already-verns“, right?“
In truth, that question is an outcry for help. Vesper is a sick woman that is in desperate need of psychological treatment

Vesper must have read up on the newest collection of Dad Jokes ( printed collector’s edition ) as after picking up a lever she asks us:

My soul was about to leave my body at this point.

Now to the highlight oft he DLC – the bossfight.
You get to fight a mechanical dragon – type boss that you definitely didn’t fight during the main story and in the Chaos Chamber. That's it.

This was an epic fight that we’ll tell our grandchildren about.

Good things come to those who wait. I'm still waiting for my brain to process what I have witnessed here.

After taking a long break playing the first game in the series (Borderlands 1) and suffering through a better narrative, UI and humour we finally arrived at the third DLC: Shmolten Shmirror.

Timon Crawford’s soothing voice introduces us to the lore of some random dude who is being held prisoner.

The first area is a set of graveyards with spooky, scary skeletons which sets the tone quite nicely, As one would expect, the next area consist of mines with mineshafts. Bonus points for making it a type of „hub world“ with multiple portals to other areas in the same setting. Vesperbrot tells us about Fyodoor’s BDSM fetish and his love for putting everything he loves in chains – details the player definitely could not live without.

We are tasked to either crush crystals or deep fry metal chains KFC-style. I'm certain there were two other tasks we had to do, but my brain has successfully deleted them from my memories through intense therapy-sessions.
I'm sure I'll wake up one night, sweating, and those memories will be fully back.

The boss is about the greatest experience ever made. You enter the same repetitive sequence of being tasked to destroy bullet-sponge crystals over and over again.

A truly memorable story that I will tell my grandchildren.

Here we are, back at it again, bearing witness to humanity's finest pieces of art in the form of digital media.

The intro cinematic offers, like the previous DLC, stunning graphics with breathtaking colours that are only worthy to be experienced on an OLED screen. Seriously, just skip the intro if you’re not playing on a 10k USD screen - you are not worthy.

I am so thankful that yet again, instead of introducing a new character into the game and engaging the player into the tragic story of Imelda and her interesting story about a magic potion , we have Timon Chumbucket’s stellar voice acting to accompany us on our journey. Cold as ice, not empathetic at all – but completely out of place, just like we like it. Thanks, Timon.

The humour is top notch, frankly second to none. If you’ve read „101 dad jokes for the entire family“, you should be well-prepared for what you’ll experience here. If you want an example, listen to these inspiring words:

„I see excessively large beans in your future“.
After hearing that voice line fort he 10th time, I saw myself hanging from the next best tree.

Big goblin beans bouncing your way“.
Gobble my beans, Vesper.

Boss: Brilliant mechanic that consists of not being able to hit the boss because it’s 10 miles away and teleports all around the arena.

Again, I wouldn't know what kind of human being I'd become had I not played this masterpiece.

This has to be one of the most powerful gaming experiences that I have ever got to experience in my entire lifetime.
My favourite feature is the playtime itself, which was was artificially dragged out from 15 minutes (there isn't any more to it than that) to a full hour by having to play this cinematic experience 4 times in a row to complete all difficulties.

Intro movie offers visually stunning animations accompanied by a smooth narrator-voice. The narrative comes nothing short of Shakespeare, voiced by the ingenious voice actress Timon Camacho, who enables the player to be instantly invested into this story-rich masterpiece.
The DLC offers multiple areas, which I'll talk about now.

Area 1: We are in a snowy temple with lots of ice (nice) and get to fight innovative, never-seen-before enemies while solving engaging, mind boggling puzzle to get tot he next area. Me and my coop-partner have both thousands of hours in the hardcore puzzle / adventure game „Professor Layton“, yet it took us what felt like hours to fully find the right solution to those riddles.

Area 2: Naturally after the icy temple, it was a wise choice to take the player character to a tropical temple.

Area 3: Back again in the snowy mountains, we seek the warmth of a cozy mountain village. However, behold: beloved, innovative enemies from the first area shall return.
Once the narrator said „the column moved, do that again“ I literally broke down in tears.
My favourite character in this area was a shark called „Missing Name“. His tragic backstory and fate sent a shiver down my spine.

Area 4: They took the core idea of area 2 and expanded on it. A true evolution. It felt like L. da Vinci putting the finishing touches onto the Mona Lisa.

Area 5: In a seemingly endless battle the player character had to fend off hordes of enemies. The narrator added that to the suspenseful atmosphere by being mostly silent and absent.

Area 6: They don’t shy away from breaking every boundary known to man when it comes to designing levels. Can't say much more without spoiling too much of the experience.

Boss: As raindrops announced a grim situation, they also foreshadowed an engaging, tough, multi-layered fight against what must be the best boss in ages. An absolute masterpiece.

We couldn’t believe our eyes when during the fourth playthrough (on the toughest and most brutal difficulty) the boss started flying like in the popular movie Harry Potter

If I dare to even critique this masterpiece in the slightest manner, it has to be due to the fact that there was, in contrast to the main game, a significant lack of yap and yapping as a whole.

Check out my other reviews if you want to dive into the other, mind-blowing DLC of Tiny Wiener's Wonderschwanz.

Chill game that gets regular QoL-updates. Dev-team is really cool and genuinely cares about the game.
Amazing modding-community that keeps the game fresh even years after release.

Great fun.
I really enjoy the new career mode and building your car is something new - I hope they take these features and add them to the upcoming F1 games.
WRC feels great on a PS5-Controller, although sometimes a bit too grippy; I feel like some cars should slide around a bit more. Tracks have a nice flow and give you that "claustrophobic" feeling at times - which adds to the nice sensation of speed.

Game could look a bit better considering it's from 2023 and the FPS do dip under a comfortable level at times but for me (3080, 3900X @ 1440P) it's not as bad as other people describe it to be. Make sure to have the latest Nvidia Drivers installed, they specifically aim at improving this game's performance.

I hope they keep adding content to this game over the years, would love more of the classic cars.

Played through this game in two sessions. Yes, 13 hours. Yes, it was this good and addicting.

Loved the characters, the humour, the weapons and their unique abilities.
You can find all sorts of funny NPC-interactions in the city if you're willing to explore a bit between missions.
Collectibles aren't a pain to collect but a nice way of combining your guns' abilities.

And I repeat myself, the humour and attention to detail are great. Just watch some of those silly cartoons on in-game TV, they're weird but, well, yeh they're just weird.

Please be sure to do the steps in this guide (and leave a like, this dude is awesome): https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2908981589 and then start playing the game since you can't, for some reason, fully turn off motion blur. Wish I knew that before sinking 13h straight into this game.

Works like a charm, idk what issues people have in here.
If it doesn't work for you, be sure to tick the box under "DLCs" in your library.
