Pros:

+ Simple concept (but with good levels of complexity as you get more familiar)
+ Regular events (and multi cultural ones which is cool)
+ Easy to watch pro players in game
+ Lots of different characters to learn (and helps to give you ways to play how you want to play)
+ Its free to play; and the paid upgrades are good but not necessary to influence winning.
+ Bugs fairly uncommon (as compared to other games).
+ Good combos and teamwork required between players

Cons:

+ People quite salty (although strong steps have been introduced to try combat this; and it is slowly getting better)
+ The ranking system is horrifically inaccurate. Other similar games like "Mobile Legends" has a very good MMR system which seems to be very accurate. For example; its quite common to see people on the lowest ranks who have 1000s of hours experience playing against people completely new to the game. There is little difference in playing in the mid range ranks and the bottom in my observation.
+ Its quite common between games to need to restart due to updates.
+ Huge amounts of non english chat on english based servers
+ Sometimes players you play against are someones bots that they are making (presumably for people who buy higher rankings)
+ Its unclear to many in your team whether they have an early game advantage or late game advantages and very often you will lose by not pushing; yet most people won't push (a lame way to lose).

I like the game (and loved the original games many years ago too), but it has poor and hindering performance crippling the game sometimes. Try placing a 3 by 3 prison and it lags (but doesn't lag for any other scenarios generally (unless it memory leaks which happens on occation). It is very very annoying in the alt-tab scenarios where it has no windows icon often on the task bar, so u have to bring up ctrl, alt delete menu and use swtich to to give it focus again.
