Game is incredible. It's EA, so expect bugs and weirdness, and yes, the launch was horrible (even if I think the devs handled the problems professionally and to the best of their ability).

Even then, I'm having the time of my life. The aesthetics are amazing, the game is solid in design, and it's getting better. Get in while it's hot.

Word of warning, it's not the most solo friendly game, but it should be easy to hop into a clan.

PS2 graphics, wonky animation and frankly laughable sound... And yet I have over 500 hours in it, and I'm but a noob. Fresh gameplay, freeform sandbox enabling you to write your own story, absolutely breathtaking modding community, it all adds up to a game thats not quite anything else in the market.

Bought it on Alpha, been hooked ever since. Base building at its finest, tactic gameplay that feels responsive and interactive. A stories generator of the first order that strikes a good balance between depth and accessibility. Absolutely recommended. The DLC is innovative and well worth the price.

Extremely solid tactics game, in where you control a group of 4-6 people against the alien menace. The story is nice, but the forte lies in the squad management aspect: each soldier can be fully customised, and you will come to like them. Only for them to die at the hands of a sectoid the next mission.

Emergent narrative, good graphics, excellent gameplay, and a fitting soundtrack. Extensive, fun, and incredibly engaging.

More maps would be welcome, since you'll end up playing through all of them, but it's not a huge con with the slight randomization some of them are subjected to. I'd recommend picking the Enemy Within DLC, since it adds juust sooo much to the game.

Fun little gem that looks boring but delivers a most zen experience. Takes some time getting used to it, but it's oh so worth it. 8,5/10, needs some polishing and additional content, but is incredibly entertaining in it's current version.

An excellent game with a very well-crafted world, fun aerial battles that always keep you on your toes, whatever your role is (pilot, gunner or engineer) and a community that is simply wonderful.
However, there´s a distinct lack of variety in ships and maps, and I really hope for bigger ships that require bigger crews (say eight people...), or simply different crafts.
Regardless, this game´s a little gem that everyone shpuld give a look at.
